Nice accommodation, modern, very clean and comfortable. Good size room. I like that we had fresh milk in the fridge for tea and coffee in the room, also they provided a cafetiere with ground coffee. The young girl who served our breakfast was very pleasant but would benefit from training in the service industry. I didn't like the fact that... More

Lovely location, modern dining room not particularly atmospheric. Good quality food let down by staff who appear to lack any direction and confidence to offer a personal customer service. No idea who the front of house manager/leader was, this place would excel if staff were well trained to deliver service with a smile. The impression I gained was that no... More

Don't stay here, on check in a young girl got our info wrong but dismissed it as a laugh whew challenged. Ask to do form for break fast we didn't know what we wanted next morning we felt pressured. The breakfast was poor and could hear all of conversing going on in kitchen including slating customers clothing! On our final... More

We booked dinner for two, we got fantastic service, good food and a wine list to die for. The staff were attentive and well presented, all in all a really great time was had by both of us. The food was priced for quality and it was quality, would we go back? Absolutely. More

The rooms are fantastic.....double spa bath, comfortable beds and luxury fixtures and fittings. I would come back to stay for sure but would not eat here again. The food is expensive for what it is. If it was fantastic food it would be worth the money but sadly it is not that good. I had crab cakes that did not... More

For a romantic evening stay the Wharf House fits the bill. Our ensuite room had a beautiful bed...I mean view of the Severn. And the whirlpool bath and open shower divine! It was however a little off putting the first time my husband had to run down to the car and I was left sitting in the dark. But the... More

Valentines dinner, very expensive for what you got! £50 per head. No ambience at all, harsh lighting, no candles, fake rose in vase and not the romantic atmosphere you would expect. Very good food - don't think the champagne sorbet was correctly advertised as tasted more like rose, but all in all food was worth it. Only full fat milk... More

We’ve stayed here several times, always with a warm welcome, unfussy attention to our wishes and plenty of smiles. The rooms are well furnished with wonderfully firm beds and the oval jacuzzi baths add a nice touch, with soft fluffy bathrobes and towels to relax in. Dinner and breakfast are the perfect complement. The environment is delightful, with the ever... More

We have stayed several times at the Wharf House. Built by the Over basin, where the Herefordshire and Gloucestershire Canal will meet the Severn once the canal is fully restored, all profits from the establishment go towards the Canal Trust. The Canal Trust’s task to restore the 34 miles of canal to Hereford is a daunting one, given that some... More
