The proprietors, David and Sandra, are friendly without being overbearing in this massive, well kept, old house which is an excellent alternative to the many highly priced hotels in the Harrogate area. What a delight to arrive at alexa house,from the warm welcome we recieved from Sandra and Dave to the cleanliness and beauty of the rooms, the only complaint we had was we couldnt stay longer...definately recommend for a stay whilst in harrogate, the chef cooks a mean breakfast!!! more

Stayed one night in a 'stable' room, room 9 (not in the main building but a seperate block in the car park). Really nice B & B. Owners are very friendly. Just 5 or 10 mins stroll into town. Rooms very clean and well equipped with flat screen tv, mini's in bathroom, soft clean towels, comfortable beds. Would definitely recommend a stay there. more
