Aughris House's location is unbelievable. It has a beautiful, unspoiled beach, which is gorgeous even when it's raining! It really is in the middle of nowhere, so be prepared for quiet and only the Beach Bar to eat. The upsides are no crowds and easy access to the beach. The room was great for us, the only problem was some... More

It was a little hard to reach, going along on a narrow dirt road, quite far from Sligo. But once we arrived, the views were gorgeous, despite the day being rainy and gloomy... the B&B and pub are located right on the water. Absolutely stunning. The Beach Bar pub is extremely charming with good food and great atmosphere. The room... More

Room was great, the view fantastic. The Beach Bar was very nice with a surprising menu. Not the typical pub grub. Everything was delicious. Only drawback was we were there in the offseason and felt very isolated. There dosen't seem to be much around. More

I cannot rate this pub highly enough, the setting is idyllic, so unspoilt and beautiful. Darrens sea food chowder is so delicious he should patent the recipe, the portions are very generous and excellent value for money. The pub is full of charm and character, and so are the people who run it. So friendly and welcoming, I dont think... More

After a day of persistent rain we arrived at the Beach Bar. This was my favorite B&B of the 14 we stayed at in Ireland. Our accommodations were located next to the bar in the Aughris House. Room was clean and had a nice shower with big towels and hot water. My husband used the wifi which is available in... More

We spent a lovely day by the sea, good food, great surroundings, excellent value, spotlessly clean. Can't recommend the Beach Bar and the surrounding walks enough - we were not rushed, the staff were really friendly - this is a gem More

A truly irish bar - food great, guinness fantastic, location idyllic - real rural ireland. Didn't stay at BandB but relatives did and found it very comfortable. Have visited the pub for the last 20 years - still to find a nicer one ! More

Tucked away on the coast of Ireland, west of Sligo is this very delightful B&B and Beach Bar combination. It's in a lovely setting, with the beach right there and the bar just a few steps away from the B&B. The accommodations are very clean and while simple, very comfortable. Drifting asleep to the sounds of the surf was a... More
