“Canal Lodge lets itself down by a lack of attention to detail”

Pleasant enough property and location set off the main road to Clones. Good parking beside the property. Traffic noise is quite intrusive if you are not used to it. Fairly clean but not spotless. Tea & coffee facilities provided but no milk or spoons. No soap or shower gel in en suite shower room just hand wash cream dispenser on... More

The location was easy to find and the accomodation was clean and bright. The welcome was friendly and effient. The room was warm and the breakfast was excellent. It was excellent value for money - what more do you need? More

My brother stayed here recently as we were attending a wedding at the Hillgrove Hotel. He was very disappointed in the room as it was not ensuite and did not have a television. The cost was E40 per night which was the same as other BB's closer to the hotel that other guests had booked into, but were far superior. More

I've just returned from 3 nights in Monaghan with several friends (1 in the Four Seasons and 2 in Canal Lodge) and I have to say that the guys at Canal Lodge made us very welcome.
