I recently completed my 3rd visit to Windsor Lodge which is a family owned and run B&B. The rooms were nicely appointed, clean, warm and comfortable. Breakfasts generous with a variety of choices. The free secure Wi-Fi provision was a great boon, but the TV cable service was quite limited. We benefited from a comfortable living room where one can... More

We could not have had a better B&B experience. Olive and John are lovely people and made us feel incredibly welcome as if they were just inviting us into their home. John's knowledge of Irish history is breathtaking. The area around Drogheda is dotted with ancient history not to be missed. Without John's input, we might have missed the spots... More

We came across this charming B&B by chance, and couldn't have been luckier. The rooms were clean, quiet, and adorable, and the owners could not have been nicer. Olive and John made us feel just like family. We left welcome and safe the whole time. The location is fabulous. The heart of town is just down the road, and New... More

This is a very comfortable B&B and an ideal place to stay to explore the area. It has everything you need - nice bed, en suite, TV, tea and coffee and wi-fi. Very friendly welcome, very helpful, nice breakfast. There was a plastic sheet on the bed, but everybody seems to put these on and I find them so uncomfortable! More

We thank the reviewer for this very positive assessment of your Windsor Lodge experience. Ensuring a completely satisfactory experience is our minimum goal -- and we take note that you had mentioned that the mattress protector provided you with some discomfort. We regret that. We are obliged as a matter of Failte Ireland policy to use such protectors to ensure... More

This place is a bit like staying at someone's home; it's family-run and very friendly, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean and warm. Where I stayed was organized as several en-suite rooms with one shared kitchen; if I were visiting Drogheda again with a large group of people, staying here would make a lot sense. The access to... I stayed at Windsor lodge with my wife and two children, and I would have no problem recommending it to anyone, we were there with our new baby who was one week old and we never once were disturbed by other guests, the owners were fantastic and assisted us on every occassion, the breakfast buffet is second to none, a... Stayed here for one night. The place was very noisy, no views with student who were staying coming and going most of the night as there is a college just down the road. Kettle to boil water for tea coffee is ouside on the landing. Although the host were very helpful and the morning meal was great I would not... More

We found this review a bit puzzling. There is a view, with all rooms having windows to one side of the house or another. Coffee and tea service is provided on a sideboard on the second floor of our house #2, as there is a nice big spot that provides a handy service area. It also has other guest service... More

We stayed in the chalet,as we had our young son with us and we didn't want to be disturbing the other guests. This was great as we had our own access and we seperate from the house. I would recommend a family to stay here. The breakfast had great variety, with fruit, cereals, pastries and a cooked breakfast all on offer. Only minor... More

We're grateful for this review and thank our guest family for taking the time to share it. Our chalet in the rear of our property is a new addition and we're especially glad that our guests found it comfortable. We did find -- and have corrected -- a ventilation fault in this new addition. As regards fees on credit card... More

We booked the Windsor Lodge based on the excellent reviews in tripadvisor and we were not dissapointed at all: the place is spotless, and the room spacious with an excellent shower. The owner offered us advice on what to see and where to stop on our way to Northern Ireland. He also made an excellent recommendation for diner (Henri's). Bottom... More
