Good location, 5 min walk over bridge to city center. Nice bar, nice welcome and helpfull staff. Room was very comfortable, although there wasn't enough towels when I arrived. It was rectified quickly by staff. Overall a nice hotel, bordering on affordable/value for money....... More

This hotel started out as a Hilton hotel in the area and as such was built to high standards. Its a new hotel with the level you would expect from the Hilton brand including fitness centre and underground car parking. Also its only 5 mins walk to the shopping / centre of Limerick My most recent visit was for Sunday... More

The hotel is nice, as airport terminals go - it has no character and you could be anywhere in the world. It's also expensive, 85 for a room and another 10 for breakfast. However charging 5 for the carpark is just plain mean. There are far better hotels in Limerick for the money and next time I will stay in... More

Dear Yezir, Thank you for reviewing our hotel after your recent stay. We rarely if ever have been described as an Airport Terminal. Our hotel is of a contemporary design and is certainly different from some of Ireland’s well established "old world" hotels. Sometimes modern design and styling is not to everyone’s taste. We always strive to offer value, and... More

My wife and I had our wedding reception at the The Strand on the 16th of December last. Where do I start. We chose the City View Suite as we had 100 guests. It proved to be the perfect choice. For the time of year the lights outside framed with the night time lights of the city made for a... More

From the instant we arrived we were greeted curtiously and professionally. The room was large, spotless and what a view over the city and river. The bar had evening entertainment which was surprisingly quite good ( a young band ) and service was prompt. Breakfast was hot, fresh and tasty and the location could not be better, 2 min walk... This hotel was a great package - location, size, friendly staff, food, and it had a lovely ambience. After exploring the city It was very welcoming to see the Strand lit up on the water to guide us back home. Would definitely stay here again. More

We stayed at the strand hotel for a recent rugby match and will definitely stay again. On arrival the receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly. Throughout our stay we found her always pleasant and helpful and even on a busy weekend in limerick a late checkout wasn't a problem. The room itself was lovely and spacious. The hotel is in... More
