Mary and John are the most welcoming of B&B owners. They have a beautiful home in the country not far from Kilkenny and near all of the local attractions - Nicholas Mosse, Chesneau, Jerpoint Abbey, Kells and much more. All bedrooms are on the first floor, beautifully decorated and large. Showers are spacious with plenty of room. The large showers... More

I recently stayed in the Oldtown Farmhouse B&B for one night. I arrived quite late as it was an unexpected trip. I was greeted by the owner Mary and immediately offered tea and gorgeous scones and a place in front of the fire. It was all so relaxed and welcoming. My room was really lovely and absolutely spotless. It also... More

Wonderful welcome and great room and breakfast. The rooms are large and well furnished. The gardens are beautiful and seem to pull the colors in the bedrooms right into them. Breakfast was very good and Mary's hospitality could not have been better. She gave us a tour of her property and it could not have been better. The green houses... More

Mary gave us such a warm welcome on our arrival, along with much appreciated tea and scones. Our room was a spacious, modern family room (there were 3 adults in our party) and was very clean. The beds were very comfortable, there were plenty of towels available in the bathroom, and the room was lovely and warm, which wasn't the... More

What a lovely place to stay. Out of the city with beautiful views. Mary made us a cup of tea on arrival and supplied muffins, she is a great lady. Hospitality here is bountiful, rooms are great. Lots of things to see in the area. I will definitely be going back there. More

Mary gave us muffins and tea and let us store our bags while we went to get some lunch to eat. our room was large and clean. out of the 7... More

Mary and John Fitzgerald are warm hosts. John makes some of best brown bread that we had in Ireland. Mary's breakfast was fit for a king and sustained us until supper. The room was large, quite comfortable, and overlooked a lovely garden. It was a nice quiet location which offered a relaxing place to stay. We enjoyed talking with Mary... More

My wife and I had two fantastic nights at this B & B, our first B & B experience. The room and beds were great as was the friendliness shown by the proprietor and her husband. We were made welcome, I thought I was actually in the Will, I was that comfortable and felt as though our parents were looking... More

Arrived at Mary Fitzgeralds (landlady) house, 9-3opm, hadnt had dinner yet, saw nothing to running us into town to get a curry for four of us, and we had only just introduced ourselves, excellent service, and the week ahead was just the same with the wonderful service Mary and John, (her husband) provided for us. The irish breakfasts, we didnt... More

Stayed here for a wedding that was on in mount juliet just down the road. The owner was really friendly and helpful, she gave us a lift to the hotel where the wedding was on. The rooms were very nice, good size and spotless. The breakfast was really good also. Overall a great b&b for a reasonable price. More
