We visited Dunboy in July 2010 and stayed one night. Helen was very helpful in showing us what was good to look at in Kilkeny, and she directed us to a pub which had a great traditional Irish band the night we were there. It is a 15 minute walk from the old center of Kilkenny, through residential areas. Highly... More

Helen was very nice, a great host, very welcoming! She cooked a very tasty full Irish breakfast. The B&B is about a 15 minute walk from the center of town. More

We spent a lovely four days with Helen and Tony, our warm and welcoming hosts!!! What a pleasure it was to wake up in our cosy and comfortable bed, then to toddle down to the dining room, where a hearty Irish breakfast awaited us. In addition to all that, Tony acted quasi as our unpaid chauffeur in collecting us from... More

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the Dunboy and cannot recommend it enough! We're both very much looking forward to when we can return to Helen and Tony's lovely B&B. As vegetarians, Helen was very accommodating with our breakfasts and we loved the food! Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Parking was right out front. This... More

If you want a nice, very quiet, place to stay, yet very close and convenient to downtown Kilkenny, then this is the place to stay! If you want helpful, friendly hosts and a great breakfast, then this is the place to stay. Helen and Tony were wonderful, and the rooms were clean and quiet. Tami, Dennis, & Sam More

Helen, our hostess, made us welcome the moment we rang the doorbell. Comfortable , clean room, great breakfast. Easy to locate and a pleasant, safe walk into town center. More

Helen made us feel like family. My husband and I were there for 2 nights and Helen gave us all the information that we needed to enjoy our stay. Very nice clean rooms, a little out of the town but very easy to get to and Helen said that walking was easy but the weather did not let us. We... More

Impeccably clean rooms, excellent food, lots of information available, but it is the hospitality of the owners that makes this B&B such an outstanding place to stay. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kilkenny. More

Helen Dunning makes staying at the Dunboy B & B worthwhile. She is genuinely warm and hospitable. Upon arrival, she sat us down and gave us an orientation to Kilkenny about where to go and what to do. She served a terrific breakfast on a beautifully appointed table. Her home is impeccably clean. Our room was adequate for our needs.... More

THe Dunboy B&B is a wonderful place to stay in Kilkenny. Helen treats you like a family member, so warm and friendly. The rooms are comfy and very clean, the beds comfortable, and the breakfasts are very good. The only minor issue we had was that the shower flow was fairly weak. I would highly recommend the Dunboy.
