In our visit to Ireland, we stayed in Kilkenny for 4 days. The Celtic House was perfect. It's location puts you a very short walk from the bustling main strip and you can see the castle towers overlooking the city from the bedroom windows! Breakfast was hot and delicious, a perfect way to start your day on a cool March... More

We loved the Celtic House. Its exceptionally clean with beautiful paintings on the walls by the owner Angela Byrne. Its like an Art Gallery, Angela has written a book which I am looking forward to reading. Highly recommend. More

Stayed here for one night. Clean. Good location. Rooms are really cold, not very well decorated, sockets weren't working so had to dry hair in corridor with no mirror. Luckily enough we weren't spending much time in the room. Breakfast was cold and only served till 9.30am. Pretty early for a Sunday morning . Cleaning staff very friendly. More

As we had this couple and one other gentleman in the house at this time. We had explained we had a problem with the electric sockets in the room they were in. we were waiting on our electrician to come and fix same. And they stayed two nights with us. I wish they would have told us about their complaint... More

This wonderful B&B is located within skipping distance of everything to see in Kilenny, but more importantly the B&B is run by a charming couple (Angela & John) who will make your visit to Kilkenny magical. Their smile will warm you and their breakfast will send you on your way feeling happy. More

My husband and I selected Celtic House, a lovely town house for our stay in Kilkenny. It’s located within walking distance to pubs, restaurants and Kilkenny Castle. We had a wonderful stay and John and Angela graciously welcomed us to their home. Our room was clean and bright. The bathroom was spacious and very clean. The shower was wonderful with... More

Stayed at many B & B's on this vacation but this one was disappointing. Rooms needed a good updating. Good location. Close to downtown Kilkenny. Main floor area clean. Service & breakfast good. More

The owners were very friendly and helpful. We had no issues checking in and the accomodations were adequate and clean. The only complaint we had was lack of internet access in our rooms. We had to go outside to get it. Other than that breakfast was fantastic and we slept soundly in our rooms (we had a double bed!). Everything... More

John and Angela are absolutely wonderful hosts. We found them by looking in the Lonely Planet guide to Ireland. It's true that their rooms are very clean. The location is quiet yet within walking distance to main shops. The rooms are small but well appointed and definitely worth the modest price. We will stay there again upon returning to Kilkenny! Celtic House is a beautiful B&B place where you can see the Kilkenny City Centre from the room and it is close to the centre including Kilkenny Castle. The Byrnes welcomed us with open arms a lot of warmth. My father and I all enjoyed looking at Angela's wonderful paintings. I love the brush strokes Angela does. Like us, the... More
