We loved the Celtic House. Its exceptionally clean with beautiful paintings on the walls by the owner Angela Byrne. Its like an Art Gallery, Angela has written a book which I am looking forward to reading. Highly recommend. More

Stayed here for one night. Clean. Good location. Rooms are really cold, not very well decorated, sockets weren't working so had to dry hair in corridor with no mirror. Luckily enough we weren't spending much time in the room. Breakfast was cold and only served till 9.30am. Pretty early for a Sunday morning . Cleaning staff very friendly. More

The owners were very friendly and helpful. We had no issues checking in and the accomodations were adequate and clean. The only complaint we had was lack of internet access in our rooms. John and Angela are absolutely wonderful hosts. We found them by looking in the Lonely Planet guide to Ireland. It's true that their rooms are very clean. The location is quiet yet within walking distance to main shops. The rooms are small but well appointed and definitely worth the modest price. We will stay there again upon returning to Kilkenny! Celtic House is a beautiful B&B place where you can see the Kilkenny City Centre from the room and it is close to the centre including Kilkenny Castle.
