Planned one night in Kilarney for a mid week trip, and was sad not to have had more time there. John, the proprietor opened the door and made it feel like home there after. A large Lodge on the long road of B&B's on the road into the city, but I am delighted we chose this one. A great price,... More

I stay at Abbey Lodge about 8 times a year having found this wonderful B&B on this site. The Lodge is imaculately clean, very comfortable, fantastic location for the town centre and local ammenities and the breakfast is lovely. The staff are very friendly and helpful, in fact Evelyn went out of her way to book a room for me... More

Our group of four booked two rooms. Ours was at the front overlooking the street and was beautifully appointed and the double bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very roomy and the tub was huge! Abbey Lodge was clean, cozy and full of charm. The breakfasts were amazing with multiple menu choices besides the full Irish breakfast. The fact... I was very impressed with the bedroom amenities that Abbey Lodge had to offer. The best of any B&B during my 2 week Ireland travels with my husband--down to the little things that I forgot to pack (like a shower cap) We stayed briefly overnight and for breakfast before checking out for our next Ireland destination. I would've been happy... More

I was prepared to hate this place upon arriving and discovering that the wifi doesn't really work on Apple products and the phones were out, but the owner and manager, John, was so polite and helpful that any criticism has utterly died in my throat. He actually called up a friend of his to see if we could get the... More

We stayed for 3 nights over the May bank holiday - the rooms were large, equipped enough but the decor was just ok. The reason to stay is the location (2 minute walk to town), the service (the innkeeper was wonderful - lots of recommendations and tips) and the breakfast (hot and really good!). A great hub for exploring Killarney... More

We traveled to Killarney this February so my daughter could compete in the All-Ireland Championships. This was our second trip in 4 years and we stayed here at Abbey Lodge both times. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet, and the owners, John and his wife, are hospitable and accommodating. We especially liked the full breakfasts served in a cozy... More

Abbey Lodge is beautiful. The person who greeted us I think is the owner and not friendly at all. The people who work there are wonderful. Great breakfast and location. Diana More

We traveled all over Ireland during the month of September and Abbey Lodge was the only B&B/Guest House that we chose to visit twice during our month-long stay. Like everyone who visits Killarney, we fell in love with this charming, vibrant town. We will never forget its friendly pubs, restaurants, jaunty rides, shopping and Irish beauty. Abbey Lodge was recommended... More

Abbey Lodge is beautifully appointed with art and fine furniture. The location is no more than 2-4 minutes walking from the best pubs and great food--not to mention the most delightful jarveys and jaunting cars. The host John King is very kind and solicitous. I assume he has been hosting for years, but his attitude feels like every guest is... More
