In the Salthill area with bus stop outside. Not too far from town and within easy walking distance of pubs and eatieries of Salthill. We stayed in a spacious diouble room with good-sized ensuite. Anna, our hostess, was extremely helpful and friendly. More

Tara House is about a twenty minute walk from the centre of Galway - easily manageable even after a couple of pints of the black stuff! According to Trip Advisor, Salthill's Lohan's and the... More

Tara House is located in Salthill area which is a popular waterside suburb on Galway Bay. This is a bit out of town but a bus pulls in right outside the front door. Anna greeted us and has a lovely personality being friendly, happy, jovial, extremely helpful looking up directions etc and she was quite happy to cook the hot... More

We showed up late on a Saturday evening and were desperate for a room. Anna the owner gave us a warm welcome and was full of local knowledge of the area. The room was very bright and spacious and all amenities, including free wifi which is always a bonus when you are traveling. We were really very comfortable and decided... More

This b&b was well run by Anna the innkeeper. It was clean and nicely decorated, and the bedroom was a good size. Room was very quiet and the mattress was comfortable - we slept well. Really enjoyed the breakfast - Anna is flexible , and will give you what ever you want. Anna and her husband Micheal were very helpful... More

There's not many places I've stayed in the world where I can say I got the same VIP treatment as I did from this guesthouse., where to start, the rooms were modern and furnished with everything from hairdryer to ironing board and were ensuite. The guesthouse has free wireless as well. The owners Anna and Micheal were very helpful and... More

So over a day in the sky and after seeing what Dublinhas to offer we now encounter a 2.5 or so hour train journey to Galway..at least we could have a beer and relax! We arrived in Galway and one of the many taxi's at the train station took us to salthill, a stone in the creeks walk from the... More

This B&B was recommended to me on the Galway TA forum when I asked if anyone could recommend a place with a resident dog. My friend and I are huge dog lovers and hoped to find B&Bs throughout Ireland with dogs. I went ahead and booked two nights here even though at that time there were hardly any reviews or... More

Michael & Anna were wonderful, gracious and helpful hosts. Both were available for any questions we had, and they made us laugh w/ fun stories. They were happy to recommend restaurants and tours in the area. Our room (#3) was upstairs. Walls are so sound that you do not hear others at all. I slept SO well! Internet worked great,... More
