From the moment we arrived on our first trip with our 5 month old, flustered with half the house packed into our car we were put at ease by the welcome at the Ardilaun Hotel. The hotel team really understand family necessities and even have real cots as opposed to uncomfortable travel varities. High chairs were available and having food... More

The Ardilaun is a super hotel. It has been around for years and retains its old worldly style and authenticity while having all the modern facilities you could wish for. It is situated in a lovely part of Galway less than 5 mins from the sea, the city centre and on the road to beautiful Connemara. We stayed one night... More

I would not classify this hotel as a four star hotel, but overall, we enjoyed our stay. The bad first-- When we first arrived, we asked the lady at the reception desk for a suggestion for a good seafood restaurant. She couldn't think of one (which was a little surprising), but told us that she would do some research and... More

I was attending a wedding here recently and stayed the night in the hotel. The bedroom was a bit on the small side, but it contained all we needed. For it's location near the elevator, it was a quiet room which was pleasantly surprising. The breakfast the following morning was decent although I would have said the offering was more... More

Dear 'TaraTours', Thank you for your review. We are very happy to know that you enjoyed your stay here at The Ardilaun. Apologies however for the disturbance to you in relation to our housekeeping staff. This is most unusual and has been brought the attention of our manager in that department. We hope that you will return to stay with... More

Stayed overnight as a solo business traveller. Had stayed here previously on holiday break but this time round different experience. Hotel is well located with beautifully landscaped gardens. Hotel decor and fit out are dated and faded without the charm of a country house hotel. My room was stuffy and musty smelling. There were cobwebs on the ceiling which suggested... More

Stayed In the hotel last week with my partner. This was our second time to stay and again it was brilliant. From our first contact with reservations and throughout our stay all the staff were excellent. The food was great, our room was very comfortable and looked onto the gardens. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and we will... More

My wife and I just spent a very enjoyable weekend in the Ardilaun. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent location within walking distance of Salthill and the Galway city centre. Hotel rooms were spacious and modern and we also enjoyed the leisure faciilities. Would definetlely recommend. More

While on tour we stopped here for one night. The hotel was busy as there was a large wedding party there, but the staff was great, took care of everything in a friendly manner. As a bonus we were able to eavesdrop at the party where "the singing waiters" group was performing beautifully. Our dinner that night was excellent, as... More

Dear 'Cands2', Thank you so much for your lovely comments. We are very happy to know that you enjoyed your stay with us while in Ireland. The 'singing waiters' certainly were a big hit ... they were organised as a surprise at that wedding so none of the guests knew that some of their servers were actually singers and not... More

Just back from a lovely stay at the Ardilaun Hotel. We stayed for two nights and had our labradoodle dog Daisy with us. The hotel has pet friendly rooms. These rooms are very spacious, on the ground floor, with direct access to the gardens. Our dog was allowed to stay in the room with us which was brilliant (no kennels!!)... More
