Booked this b & b based on location & price, and we were not disappointed on either. Check in on Saturday evening was fast & smooth, Ivan was lovely and really helpful he even gave us a map & directions. Our room wad spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. Perfect tea/coffee making facilities in the room & a lge tv.... More

As other reviewers have said Desota bed and breakfast is well located a 5 minute walk from the main point of interest of Galway. The room was nice with a great tv and the breakfast was excellent. The wifi was good and the staff were friendly and gave some good advice on planning the rest of our trip. The bathroom... More

The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was great and the shower was really good. I was able to get a late check out for no extra cost. The whole attitude of the place was very relaxed and friendly. The City Centre was only a 6 minute walk away. I would return again if in Galway.

Heating was only switched as we entered the room, eventhough they were expecting us. No hand towel provided, had to ask for one. Our room had the boiler outside of it & it woke us repeatedly during the night when it came on. Bath towel was paper thin, ragged at the edges & had holes in it. Wouldn't stay there again... More

Nothing particularly special about the B&B - the wallpaper in the room was coming away on one wall, round the window was mouldy, and worst of all in December, was unacceptably cold. The breakfasts were good and the staff were friendly, but I wouldn't recommend Desota.

We were happy with our choice of Desota bed and breakfast. A nice walk past a small church into the centre takes about 8-10 minutes. The staff and atmosphere are probably the best thing abut Desota and the advice was great for our group. The breakfast was good with 4 or 5 choices alongside the buffet. Would stay again.

I wanted to be close to the City centre as I did not have a car with me. You can get to the main area in 5 or 6 minutes walk or a little longer if you walk along the canals and past the Spanish arch area. The staff were very nice and I got some good tips for pubs... More

I stayed for 3 nights at Desota House, which I did not find easy to locate on foot. It is ideally placed for a short and very pleasant canal side walk to the University campus or hospital, or the city centre once you know the route. It is a house on a very busy and noisy main road. My single... More

We ended up booking this B&B last minute and only stayed for one night! It was a grand B&B simply decorated, large room, clean.. There was a late night/all night store a short walk away and a couple of take away's! We had a room at the front of the house and this was my only gripe, it was soooo... More

Outstanding B&B, better than a lot of 3* hotels I've stayed in. Location is only a short stroll to the heart of the city. Great breakfast selection and lovely bright airy dining room. Bedroom was bright spacious clean and very good size. Wifi worked perfectly which was very important .When we are staying in Galway city in the future this... More
