The B&B was not only clean and neat and charming, but you could see the pride of ownership that Paedar & Joan brought to their home. They had just completed renovating all the rooms and really cared that we had a good experience with them. In addition you could tell it was important to them that we enjoy our stay... More

I stayed here in 2010 and 2011 and will again in 2012. Peadar & Joan are fantastic hosts and full of great tips. The breakfast was so good I crave it still. Clean rooms and a perfect location for both fun in Salthill and Galway. They will call taxis or tour co.'s to have you picked up, give you any... More

We are previous owners of several B & Bs in Australia so we know the business pretty well and know a good one when we see it. Sunrise Lodge was the nicest one we stayed in of several we tried and the most professionally run. The quality of everything from linen, rooms and bedding not to mention the fantastic location... Situated right on the prom, this B&B has a prime location. However, with small rooms, questionable value for money, an unflexible breakfast time and a rather niggly and overbearing owner, we would not be rushing back. More

Peadar and Joan Cunningham are the Quintessential Irish hosts. The location is walking distance to city centre and salt hill fare. Wish I had more time to stay we had a grand experience in Galway. More

Pleasant stay -comfortable bed, very hot and powerful shower, warm room (and this was a cold June, so important), friendly and helpful hosts, queit location right by the promenade. Breakfast good quality, somewhat limited range by today's standards. More

Paedar and Joan are very nice people and so helpful. Paedar gave us advice on a great restaurant for dinner, gave me directions to get my laundry done, etc. We had a family room facing the water. The view was great and there was plenty of space for the 3 of us. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty.. More

This is a great B&B. The host is very friendly and goes out of his way to ensure that you have a pleasant stay, even arranging for tours, etc. The location was excellent, we had an ocean view room and only a short walk into Galway (~ 12 mins). The breakfast was very good. Free WiFi. We stayed in a... More

We had a pleasant stay at the Sunrise. It is just within walking distance of the center of town. The room was comfortable, with traditional decor. Breakfast was good and included french press coffee. Peader was an efficient host and offered several sightseeing tips. More

We had a very pleasant two nights stay overlooking the bay of Galway Bay in a lovely quieter area of Galway. Peadar and Joan were very friendly and helpful hosts. Peadar gave us information about the sightseeing of Connemarra and the Burren which we found very helpful. He also suggested cafe's in the local village area which were lovely. The... More
