Not the best hotel I have ever stayed in for the price I paid $285 Euro. La Stampa is positioning itself as a 5 star boutique hotel, and on the outside looking in it definitely reflects that, unfortunately when we were there they had renovations going on right outside our room, basically not pretty to look at. The room I... More

We recently stayed at La Stampa for a short mid-week break. In a very centeral location it was easy as a virgin traveller to Dublin to get our bearings, and is very handy for the aircoach bus. The rooms are very kitsch and have a lovely middle-eastern feel to them. There was plenty of room in the room we were... More

It's a boutique hotel so expect diverse rooms. The ones here don't disappoint, they're decorated beautifully. My room was spacious and so was the bathroom. Navigating through the hotel hallways is a bit tricky and narrow but the room sizes make up for it. Great location in the heart of Dublin and there is a restaurant and excellent bar just... More

Don't recognise the restaurant described in recent reviews. Staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgable about the menu. Food arrived quickly, was beautifully presented and was piping hot. Surroundings were classically opulent and the atmosphere was pleasant - you can actually have a conversation over your meal. The pre-theatre menu is excellent value (Mon-Sat 5.30-7.00) Had the beef daube, which was... More

First time in La Stampa Restaurant and was so looking forward to it. The dining room looked magnificent wit its gilded mirrors and the very very large statue of the Greek God of Victory Nike, without his head.Thank God I was having dinner with a classical scholar !!! The food was just OK a mackeral salad and a goats cheese... More

I was under the impression that the restaurant would be buzzing on the Saturday night but alas this was not the case. My decision to use the restaurant was based on feedback re atmosphere but sadly this was the wrong choice particularly when we ate at the Fire Restaurant opposite on the Friday which was buzzing. The service was "cold"... More

Super location for shopping, eating out, theatres and nightlife. Car park is a little ways off but not uncomfortable with an overnight bag. The hotel itself is quirky and slightly confused (you need to access a door using a code right into a bar?? Walk through the bar to a lift and then on up to your room!!). We had... More

We stayed at La Stampa 5-7th May 2012 for a short break over the bank holiday. We picked this hotel as it is in a very good location and looked nice. Dirty, horrible! Our room had not been cleaned, and there was a night club that went on all night! No peace! No sleep! No not stay here! More
