I was on a SAP course in Dublin with a colleague a couple of years ago, we stayed at the Alexander for 6 nights, and it was a very pleasant stay. The reception was staffed with very nice and helpfull personnel, I especially rembember the gentleman who helped us plan our daytrip the day after we arrived, he sent us... more

It was been a long time since I have come across the level of service and attention to detail that was experienced in O'Callaghan Alexander Hotel. It happened from the moment I entered the Lobby. The door was opened for me and guided to reception, a friendly smile greeted me and assistance with my bags was not problem. A detail... more

Stayed here for 3 nights at the end of Nov. Large rooms for a european hotel. The down comforters are superb, though the pillows are a little weak. Desk let us check in early, and were on spot with any of our other requests. You'll really love it here if you like hot water and shower pressure as they have both... more

The front desk, were friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean and quite spacious. My room was on 6th floor, very quite. The prices on bar was very good (only 3 euro for a beer). Near to the city center and museums. more

I was disappointed to read such negative reviews prior to our stay but am happy to report our experience was most pleasant. Starting with the front desk, I thought they were extremely friendly and very helpful. We arrived dog tired at 10:30AM after not having slept a lick on the plane and were pleasantly surprised as we were able to... more

Unfortunately, I didn't particularly enjoy my stay at the Alexander. My boyfriend and I were simply looking for somewhere decent to sleep and use as a base on a long sightseeing weekend in Dublin and, on first look, the hotel was exactly this. There was nothing particularly luxurious to write home about but there was nothing to complain about either.... more

My first impressions of this hotel were excellent and I was wondering what all the negativity was about! The woman who checked me in (Monicka) was friendly and smiling. The room was gorgeous (especially compared with the other hotels I picked for this trip). The welcome message that addressed me by name on the flat screen TV was a really... more

The Alexander is in a great location in the centre of Dublin. Rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. Wonderful bed. Very Good Value for money especially in view of the fact that with the same money a I got a truly dreadful single room in a central hotel in London a week later ! Service is not good: the... more

If you're like us - a hotel is a place to sleep while on vacation, not a place to stay - then this place will do just fine. If you expect world class service and ambiance to back it up, this place is not for you. Also, if you do stay here, make sure you right down that it's the... more
