This looks & feels like the main hotel of any small Irish town, although it's in Dublin 4. An old building, staff keen to please, a personal welcome from the barman, Friday Fiver lunch deal, evening specials for ten euro, they know their market of the value traveller. Rooms just big enough, comfortable, reasonable breakfast for the traditional meat-eater. Lots... More

I normally stay right in the centre of town for work trips from London but my usual hotel was fully booked, so I stayed here. I was slightly worried because the room rate looked so very reasonable given the location in D4. It was a really good stay but not perfect. the good things: a very friendly welcome form the... More

Needed to find a place to stay just one night in Dublin at the last minute. This hotel was available, and so I booked. It is fairly clean, although the cleaners used leave such a strong after scent that it was somewhat overwhelming. It is a few block walk from St. Stephen's Green, and in a different side of Dublin... This was by far the worst place we have stayed for years. The hotel staff was the least friendly of anywhere in Ireland. The room was rundown, the toilet ran non stop and the bath water could not be turned totally off. This was also the only place we visited that charged for wifi. On a good note the bar was... More

From the moment we arrived we were impressed. The hotel is right on the outskirts of the city and there was plenty of amenities about (shops, restaurants, pharmacy, etc) Free parking is always a plus in a dublin hotel and the guy that checked us in was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and had the type of... More

Fantastic bar with great character and good staff this hotel is very good value. Its in a great location and has very good food and an excellent breakfast. The staff could not be more helpful and in particular the head barman and the waitresses in the breakfast room. Easy access to the city center.

Everything is fine except for banging doors and thin walls. I guess the hotel can't be responsible for guests who act like they didn't come her to sleep and imagine that nobody else did either. The hotel is very good value and ideally located.

Not a bad hotel, woman on reception was very nice and helpful with everything. The hotel room itself was nice with en-suite. Clean and tidy when we arrived. Everything worked as it should do. My partner and I did not have breakfast there due to bad reviews of breakfast that we had seen but there are plenty of places to... More
