I stayed here for two weeks in Jan 2012 while I was waiting to find permanent accomodation. Well where do I start- firstly I arranged to meet at 7 on the first evening of my arrival. Rang and rang kates mobile and no answer... Rang the door-bell a number of times until eventually another tenant eventually let me in until... More

Where else can you have valet parking in a securely locked compound, a full Irish breakfast including two succulent sausages the length and thickness of a Montblanc Meisterstueck fountain pen, rooms that include period and plush four-poster beds and - to complement - a complimentary selection of mobile phone cords for cellular contingencies? Blackstone House, run by William and Kate,... More

I went to Blackstone House cause I thought it would be a good b&b. I also read other recommandations and it seemed a very nice b&b. Well it was not... The shower was a nightmare! The whole bathroom was wet once you turned on the shower. I stayed for 11 days, the room has been cleaned ONCE! and that was... More

Previously I was paying around 40 euro per night for a small double room, when I found this guest house. For 150 per week, the room was large, old-style nicely decorated, with fridge, tv, small bathroom, wifi included... The manager, William, is easy-going. I stayed for one month until I find my own appartment, but could have stayed more. The... More

My friend and I arrived at the Blackstone House on St.Patrick's Day with high expectations due to the reviews that we had read from quite a few former guests. Our expectations were soon dashed. We were met at the door by William who showed us to our room on the first floor. Katie who was in the hall when we... More

This B&B is good value for Dublin, though not within walking distance to the city centre, public transport is pretty good and easy to use. I chose to stay here because of free WiFi, which was good. Furnishment is a bit old-fashioned but okay, and breakfast was really grant! Staff was super friendy! What I didn't like was the petit... More

Just came back from my first time in Dublin, and you know what people say... The first time always hurts! But well… This time, the Blackstone, and its atmosphere, have blown completely down this myth! Kate and William… Thanks! Thank you very much for your welcome and suggestions! As soon as my girlfriend and I got into the place, after... More

Stayed in this B and B for a couple of nights and found it fine. The house seems quite old and parts of it seem to have been renovated in a somewhat eclectic style. My room was quite small and the shower in the en suite was propped up in a somewhat unorthodox fashion. Nonetheless the room was clean, comfortable... More

Not a bad b&b for location and price - However, we found the owners very unwelcoming unless you are from America. They lacked the very basics of people skills. Information regarding checking out times and where / when breakfast was served had to be dragged out of them. Not a single word of thanks from them when we paid and... More

My daughter and I spent three nights at the Blackstone and both thought it was terrific. The room (basement, front of the house) was beautiful and the beds were extremely comfortable. The view out the front window was very pretty. The whole house was lovely and furnished with an eclectic mix of furniture. Most important (especially after a bad hotel... More
