My mother, my 5 week old son and myself stayed here for 2 weeks. We were over visiting a sick relative in the hospital close by and the staff, room and all round experience made the transition a lot easier in the hard situation. Joe and his family were very welcoming, warm and helpful in all aspects of their job.... More

Stay for one night. The reception l recieved was one of indifferance. The room was shabby, with corners of wallpaper peeling away from the wall. The velux blind could not be opened, therefore no natural light in room. Nor could the room be properly aired, leading to a stuffy/old smell. Breakfast included was nice, catering staff was warm & friendly... More

We, me and my wife, just checked out of this B&B. Located in a good place in town. The owner, never shared a smile or a jesture of trying to be nice. Looks like the owner tries to do everything he can to save on expences. The breakfast is minimal with no shick, and even the lady serving didn't share... More

Sorry to read of your disappointment. For breakfast there is a choice of 4 different cooked breakfast, 3 cereals, 4 fresh fruits, brown bread, toast, tea or coffee. What should I add? The rates include free parking and free wifi, satellite TV.Tea, coffee and biscuits in room, the use of the Yamaha baby grand piano and all original paintings in the... More

We stayed here over the Easter holidays and enjoyed it. The room was a nice size and it was very, very quiet which means that sleep was undisturbed. The breakfast was enjoyable as well. The location is good, it's walking distance to the city centre (30 - 40 mins), and shops and restaurants are close by. The decor however seems... More

We stayed 1 night at Glenogra Guest House recently. It is a fascinating old Victorian house in Merrion Road, Dublin. Less than €10 for a taxi to St Stephen's Green at the heart of Dublin city. The food was excellent and staff friendly and helpful. Despite another reviewer stating that the bed was uncomfortable, our bed was luxurious. The only... More

Guest house stay was a last minute one, Room rate was very good for the area and location, (directly opposite the RDS. The bed was not the most comfortable, but the breakfast and choice of what you could have made up for it. I initially thought that parking would be poor, but realised that they also had parking at the... More

Our weekend stay in Dublin was made better by the Glenogra. It's location to nearby restaurants and the Dublin sights is convenient. Our room was a nice size and very clean. The cooked breakfasts were nice. The gentlemen at the front desk were always friendly and helpful.

How lucky we were to have booked a room at this lovely, late Victorian guest house in the Ballsbridge section of Dublin! We stayed there for our first night in Ireland, before driving to the west coast; our flight arrived early in the morning, so we reached our guest house quite a while before check-in time, but Peter, our host,... I stayed two nights in the Glenogra last week. It is a refurbished mansion in the Ballsbridge neighborhood of Dublin, so the setting is lovely and quiet, However, it is on a bus route and two high end hotels are just around the corner, so transportation is very convenient for local and airport destinations. As a solo woman travel of... More
