Very unpleasant stay. We were given a basement room and told that there were no others available. We did not really believe this as it was a Tuesday night but did not complain. The room was very very stuffy and warm. When we eventually managed to open the window, we felt unsafe as it left us open to the street... More

We visited Dublin just 5 days ago and choosed to stay in Longfields hotel as the hotel was recommended by the Spanish newspaper El Pais. In fact this was the only hotel recommendation in article about Dublin. The hotel was lovley. We did not have any hassle to make the booking. We were greeted very warmly and received from reception... More

Our flight from the US was cancelled and we promptly let the management know we could not use our reservations for two rooms. This enabled the hotel to rent our rooms and therefore the hotel did not lose out on our cancellation. They still charged us the full fee! They got two nights of fees for each room!! This is... More

I would like to say to the guests, that in time making the booking the cancellation policy is always clearly stated on the booking confirmation form. The hotel does charge the late cancellation fee if it is not according to the cancellation policy stated on the confirmation. In the event of that you have booked 3 nights stay and hotel... More

Found this hotel on the visitdublin.com site and chose it for price in relation to standard and location. I like a hotel with a bit of charm and if I'm staying in Dublin I want a proper Georgian hotel. Was not dissappointed. Sure you can find more luxury and even better location for 2 or 3 times the price we... More

I visited this hotel in January in a weekend together with my 16 year old son. The hotel was a pleasant surprise, not to large but very nice and quiet room, nice atmosphere, very helpful and friendly staff. The location was excellent, walking distance to almost all major attractions. Breakfast was very good and tasty. Only the bathroom was small,... More

Despite reading a few dodgy reviews, we decided to give the Longfields a try because of the location. I'm pleased to say that we were not in the least disappointed with our decision to stay here. The location is as good as we were led to believe as it is within easy walking distance from the main thoroughfares of Dublin... More

Just returned from a lovely stay at the Longfields. The service was great. The room was really special, decorated with old-fashioned furniture. Because it an old house there is some noise from waterheaters etc. Just a part of the charm. We thought what this hotel was really good value, located just 10 min. walk from St. Stephen's Green and Grafton... More

What a impressive website but in reality this place is a dump. I just stayed at this hotel last week and I am very disappointed with the service I received, especially as it is rated as a three star hotel. I specifically booked this hotel as the hotel website indicated they have fine dining restaurant in the premises. However when... More
