We've just come back from a week in The Abbey Hotel in Donegal, Ireland. What a lovely clean hotel. The rooms were huge and we had a double bed and 2 singles in ours even though there was only 2 of us. The rest of the coach party also had big rooms.
The only downside was if you have a...

Got a decent coffee on my way...

With it's formiddable faccade, I had expected great things of my stay in the Abbey Hotel. However, the inside is a bit of a let down. It could do with some updating. We stayed in a room of the 2nd floor which had the unfortunate luck to be facing on to the street. Shut the windows to keep out the...

We stayed for one night and had a really good time. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were comfortable if a little dated.
We had dinner in the 'sister' hotel next door as we had not booked early enough to eat in The Abbey but we had a good meal nevertheless. We returned to the Abbey for...
