Our Satnav found the way to to Aras Tara, because it is a bit out of the way, being in Blackrock rather than Cork. However once found the location is attractive as it overlooks the River Lee. The Cork signage makes this lovely B&B hard to find, but well worth the trouble! Eclectic decoration is part of the charm, and the delicious cookies in the room with welcome tea/coffee are a plus. Blackrock Castle and a pedestrian trail along the River Lee are within walking distance, and supper at the Castle Café is scrumptious and reasonably priced.... More

I was surprised to note that this wonderful bed and breakfast house didn't have a review on Tripadvisor.
