We were here two years ago and wouldn't, then, have raved about the stay, but thoroughly appreciated the location. This time, the standard, in terms of customer service and general atmosphere was hugely improved and we had a thoroughly pleasant experience. There is no getting away from the fact that The Imperial is a long-established very well used hotel showing... More

Got married in the hotel on 1st Feb this year, could not fault the hotel in any way. Food was amazing. Service , fantastic. So many staff members went over and beyond what you would expect, Jim and Linda , thank you both for all the help you provided from first contact, to the day after, we are both very... More

This is probably the best located hotel in Cork and even in the worst room, you'll likely be very comfortable. The front part of the hotel has the nicer rooms, even the hallways look nicer, but I was in one of the more basic rooms, at the back, on the first floor, and though there was a bit of street... More

The night we stayed in this city centre hotel it was very busy. We first had to park outside on the main street to go in and get a ticket from someone for the hotel car park which is around the block from the hotel (5 mins walking) the car park was very tight going in, also the spaces were... More

Walk in the front of this truly welcoming hotel -an old hotel but they have it all-we were a group of 13 just in Cork for a break. We were made feel so welcome nothing too much for the staff to do for you. Concierge staff were really efficient -a special mention for Donald whom we had most dealings with... More

Spent an overnight here on Saturday last. A classic hotel with fantastic lounge to the right as you enter. Very helpful staff and comfortable rooms . Some signs of ageing on the tiles in the bathroom but all in all an ideal location if you are visiting central Cork. The only pity is that the car park is a 4... More

We recently had 2 nights at the hotel, what a fantastic location in the centre of cork, plenty going on around the hotel. The hotel was a lot better then the comments that i had read, the room were good with big beds and everything you would want. We had dinner one evening in the restaurant as part of are... More

Stayed at the Imperial for 3 nights on the "Because your worth it package" had a fantastic time, the hotel was old but beautiful, the room we had was spacious & clean, but it is the staff that make this hotel, the ladies on reception were so friendly & helpful, when we realised that we couldn't make full use of... A historic hotel with a strong character which wouldl deserve a refurbishment. Windows are simple-glass and do not close well, resulting in scarse isolation. The sofa in our room was very old. The paintings in the bath room were in decay. Service is cheerful and helpful. The excellent breakfast buffet opens only at 7:30. Please do something for early birds... More
