I recently stayed at Craigengar for two nights with 8 good friends. I couldn't believe how wonderful the photos looked when booking - but that was nothing to arriving and wandering around seeing for ourselves - it exceeded expectation. Every detail was beautiful and so much thought has gone in to providing everything you could ask for. It was the... More

We stayed at Steading cottage for one week in January 2012 to attend a family funeral. Geraldine was very helpful and understanding in allowing us to book the cottage mid week to mid week at very short notice. It was lovely to find the shortbread and chocolates on our arrival and also the open fuel stove all set to be... More

I recently stayed at Craigengar lodge for a 2 night stay with 8 others. From the moment we pulled up our jaws hit the floor. This place is like a dream and I think I speak for all our group by saying each one of us wanted to move in!! Everything we needed and more was there. The rooms are... More

I recently stayed at the Craigengar lodge for a long weekend. As soon as you turn into where the lodge is you get a WOW factor and it keeps going when you are inside. Everything is five star. The kitchen is fully kitted with everything you need. The open plan livingroom, dining room and kitchen is perfect for socialising, especially... More

We stumbled accross the Orlege End holiday cottage when looking online for dog-friendly accommodation in and around Edinburgh. What a find! Real 5-star accommodation, appointed to the hightest standard so that you can settle straight in. The reality was even better than the website showed, which is saying something. We spent a lovely night there entertaining family from Edinburgh for... More

As you enter the house, you will from the moment you step in say "WOW, is this the place we rented!?" We took a group of 13 people, and we had more than enough space with a double bed to spare! The kitchen is fully loaded with everything you need. The whole house has real sheep skin rugs all over... More

I stayed for one week in Orlege End with two teenage sons. We needed a base near Edinburgh but wanted easy parking and lots of space so self catering in the countryside was the best option during Festival time. It was only half an hour into Edinburgh from here as the road is pretty quiet. We also needed disabled facilities... More

We travel for business quite a lot and I enjoy to find beautiful houses where to stay during our job, despite the very short daily time that we have to relax in amazing places after work. Craigengar is a stunning cottage surrounded by a peaceful beutiful land, where I spent 6 days with other 11 people. Living room is magnific... More

We were two families with teenage/young adult children holidaying together at Craigengar, and the layout off the house (3 bedrooms upstairs and 2 down) was perfect for us. The standard of the accommodation was outstanding, from the design of the building and the amount and use of space, to the quality of the furnishings, fittings and equipment. Flat screen TV's... We spent a thoroughly enjoyable week at Crosswoodhill Cottage with our friends and my parents who were visiting us from India. What a delightful place G has maintained here! We were quite tired after a long drive to the place, but once we stepped in, all that changed. The girls couldn't stop running around, marvelling at everything including the little... More
