Paid just £12 a night to stay here - staff friendly and helpful and room large, clean, warm and comfortable. No on-site food but there's a pub across the road which serves breakfast and carvery evening meals.

After a few drinks in Glasgow and Balloch, I took the train to Bowling to get a good sleep. As there were no taxis outside, I walked the 20 minutes to the travelodge and received a warm welcome on arrival.
The room was clean and comfortable, and although it is fairly near to the stations, it would probably better suit...

This hotel was clean and comfortable, rooms are good size, a good location. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We slept very well and did not hear any road noise, just a few trains passing which did not disturb our sleep at all. Excellent value, and we would definately stay here again.

This must be one of the worst places I have stayed in, situated behind a petrol station with a railway line to the rear and a main road to the front. The hotel was souless and I just had a feeling that it needed a good clean or indeed complete refurbishment. Even at £40 per night this was not good...

We paid £25 for the night for a room to sleep 3 people. The room was large and clean (though not new) and we slept very well indeed. We were not troubled by the road noise to the front and did not hear the trains. We ate in the Little Chef but also noticed places in Dumbarton - The Clipper...

The hotel is very well situated although it is on one side of a dual carriageway. It is easy to get out both east and westbound. Access from the south is easy via the Erskine Bridge (no toll is charged although my road atlas says there is a toll!).
The hotel is in need of some refurbishment but is basically...

Greeted by friendly staff, but this is a very tired establishment. A very depressing room after a long drive, and sadly driving around Dumbarton didn't list our spirits either. However, it was cheap, and we did sleep, although it was noisy and hot. This was the worst place we stayed in on a 5 night trip.

A recent business trip was extended to create a long weekend for sightseeing. We wanted somewhere cheap, cheerful but overall, fresh, clean and tidy.
The travelodge at Dumbarton, on the A82 was perfect. The prices were very cheap - one of the main criteria. The room was basic but clean and comfortable with the usual writing desk. This one was...
