We chose Loch Erisort to stay in purely on the strength of the Tripadvisor reviews of the food. We weren't disappointed. We stayed 3 nights on a visit primarily to visit Callanish (less than 30 minutes drive). Loch Erisort is also centrally placed to be within easy reach of Stornaway, Uig and not far back to Harris. The pub was... More

We only stayed for 1 night but we and our friends thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Bernie and Geraldine are great and nothing and I mean nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms we had one overlooking the loch and one the hills behind the car park were smashing. Geraldine told us there were eagles about that had... More

On our holiday to the Outer Hebrides recently we fancied eating out and the Loch Erisort Inn was recommended to us as it would definitely be open and serving food off-season. We arrived early-ish (around 7pm) and found the place easily as it's well signposted from the main road. Despite accidentally startling Geraldine (the landlady) we were warmly welcomed and... More

"It's only a pub" said Geraldine as we checked in. Perhaps, but this is a pub that provides the individual welcome, attention and character that people spend hundreds of pounds to get in "boutique hotels". The rooms are well furnished, spotlessly clean with good bathrooms. They are also well separated from the bar so there are no worries about noise... More

Called in for an excellent lunch on my first day off since April. What a tonic! Good home baking including excellent vedgie options. And a perfect location for sad walkers and cyclists mistaking Lewis and Harris for easy country. Lots of evidence in the bar of support for Barnsley FC and Rugby League - but no one is perfect. Being nosey... More

Four road weary bikers stayed for two nights, received a warm welcome from the collie dog and Geraldine, it felt like a home from home. Geraldine had no problem when we asked for an early breakfast as we intended to cover as much of Lewis and Harris as possible and needed an early start. The rooms were immaculate, the food... More

We enjoyed a night's stay here at Loch Erisort, at the end of a tough day's cycling over the very large hill from Tarbert, with our two children. The Inn feels a long way from anywhere, however we had a most friendly welcome first from the dog, a lovely black and white collie, and next from Bernie and his staff.... More

We stayed with 2 teenage girls and a dog for 2 nights in early August 2011. We all received a very friendly welcome, including from Zac, the collie. The rooms are comfortable and the situation is very attractive, on the edge of the loch. Bernie and his team are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent - and I am... More

Stopped of with the family for some lunch. Had not been there for years. Good service and all the food freshly made to order which was very tasty. Only suggestion would be to have one menu to look at. Seemed to be three menu boards on opposite Walls. Good value and good food. More

Located between Tarbert & Stornoway, 1 mile off main road. Ideal for touring around Lewis / Harris. Looks a bit run down from the car park but the rooms were of a good standard, clean, quiet, comfortable beds & furnishings & the meals were exceptional. Would certainly stay again if in the area. Stornoway smoked kippers to die for at... More
