Just back from Ayr and booked a night overstay in the Carrick Lodge hotel. The hotel was lovely room bright and clean my only negative was the size of the bathroom and the pressure of the shower. We decided to try the restaurant and had a delightful meal. I would recommend this hotel to any visiting Ayr. More

I have dined at this Hote's Restaurant many times, the latest being April 2012 and can honestly say that I have never been disappointed with the food quality and prices. The only drawback is not being able to finish the main course because of quantity! The steak salad is really outstanding with the steak being 'melt in the mouth'. More

Negatives first. WiFi is only available in the public rooms. The shower cubicle was very small (and no bath in our room). No sepcific bar / lounge area. Have been here on a few occasions. The experience is always fantastic, the food is always cooked to perfection. The staff are brilliant, very helpful and attentive. My family always thoroughly enjoys it. I'd recommend it to anyone as a superb place to eat. More
