We were quoted a price by phone which was in turn confirmed by email. I asked for a double room but the manager had quoted me for single occupancy - I had clearly said double. The chap behind the counter was friendly enough but refused to accomodate for their mistake... Trading standards might want to hear about this! Basic hotel,... More

Yes I agree , the hotel is basic, though for the great food and hospitality we provide we are confident the hotel is moving in the right direction. I have been here since mid April and since then the hotel has moved forward in all areas , and forthcoming during our closure period you will be happy to know that... More

On arrival we were warmly greeted by the hotel manager who was friendly and outgoing. He checked us in, booked us a table in the restaurant and directed us to our room. The room was accessed by a flight of winding stairs with a door at the top which proved a little tricky with luggage. A traditional key opened the... More

Had to have the mattress changed as the springs dug into our backs. We reported that we couldn't get hot water in the shower and the deputy manager said there was no problem we just had to pull the cord in the ceiling! My husband who is 5'9" tall could only just reach whilst standing on tiptoe! At 5' 0"... More

We are very aware at The Bridge of Tilt that we need alot of TLC to bring us up to standard, and I am doing my utmost as new manager at the hotel to implement correct standards of procedure to our daily routine. We are getting the basics right and guest feedback tells me that the food is great ,... More

We took one look at the room and left, very glad we did not pay in advance. This hotel needs a good cleaning and use of air freshener could disguise the stench. More

Hotel on arrival was disappointing - it is very tatty & tired looking - it wasdescribed as Hunting Lodge with log fires! Our room was a reasonable size with 3 single beds - rickety sliding door to very basic shower room. Room not particularly clean, flies & cobwebs & dusty. Beds were clean with duvets but a little hard for... More

Rooms were comfortable, and very clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. Fixtures and fittings are dated but everything worked and there was plenty of space and storage. There is a bar/lounge belonging to the hotel outside at the back-it had a good friendly atmosphere. I do think that the reception and bar area in hotel being closed at 930pm was... More

This Hotel is owned by Grand Holidays UK. We have found that most of the hotels that this tour company owns and therefore uses are inferior. The Grand Brittania at Manchester Airport certainly being one of their worst. Rooms at the bridge of Tilt were clean and comfortable, staff and food can only be described as excellent. We spent five... More
