Lovely old pub, with lots of atmosphere with a lovely open log fire. Good selection of beer and a good few brewed on site. Food was great and reasonably priced too. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Certainly well worth a visit.

After visiting The Moulin for a couple of beers in March, we wanted to return to sample more of what it has to offer. Ate there a couple of times last week and the food was good, served promptly and reasonably priced. Pub is very olde worldy country pub if you like that sort of thing. Beer, which they brew on site, is excellent. Well worth a visit.

Old, atmospheric, relaxed and casual. We had an overnight at the Moulin Inn and thought it was wonderful. Nice and friendly staff in both the Pub and the Hotel, they couldn't have done more for us. Came here for lunch on a Monday - upon arrival a plant pot at door was full of empty bottles. The entrance porch was full of leaves and litter -surely a sweep outside would be part of staff's morning routine, inside there were a couple of large pieces of paper on the floor and the whole place just looks dirty.... This is the 3rd time we've stayed at the Moulin and whilst I'm sure there are posher places in Pitlochry there are non more comfortable and welcoming. Phoned and was told they only had a superior room at £92,so booked it.The stairs to the room are so narrow,its dangerous!The room was alright,bedside lamp not working,toilet with window looking out to the street,so need to keep the blind down,the heater in the bathroom does not work,so rather cold(room 10) The pillows have seen better days too.Did not eat... A very friendly and relaxing pub-welcoming,unspoilt and cosy. Well behaved dogs are also welcome with an occaisional dog biscuit offered! We only called for a drink on two evenings as we were stayingelsewhere but the meals looked lovely. It has a micro brewery behind the hotel and Paul definately enjoyed the real ale!
