Last minute weekend break at this hotel and what a great weekend it was. Fabulous view from room of river & bridge. Huge bed. Its a very traditional hotel, very relaxing and homely. Breakfast is in the conservatory overlooking the river. Its also in the perfect location for Perth - right in the centre, near to the parks and galleries... More

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments on The Royal George. We are indeed lucky to be located in the centre of the city, yet have the views across the River Tay! I am delighted you commented on the huge bed! We are currently upgrading several rooms and where possible we are putting super kings into these... More

Parking at hotel is very limited so be aware if there is no space in car park it will cost you dearly to park on street. The hotel is very scottish ,lots of tartan and plennty of whiskeys to choose from . Our mini suite was clean and comfortable, unfortunetly the view was a couple of walls ! We had requested... More

I was more than pleasantly surprised on our arrival at this hotel. It is a beautiful hotel with a fantastic view of the Tay from the conservatory restaurant. The food was great, the room was absolutely lovely. Very clean, modern with a hint of Scotland. We stayed here for 2 nights and I have to say that the staff were... More

Stayed here for business - can't fault cleanliness (spotless modern bathrooms), breakfast was good, location is excellent in middle of town. From a business perspective, the only let down is lack if internet access in rooms - this was known before booking so is not a gripe! Overall a good value option for the area. More

Thank you for your very positive comments on your stay at The Royal George, especially your comments on the cleanliness, your breakfast and the location of the hotel. Thank you also for your constructive comments on wifi internet access. Whilst it is currently free to guests throughout all public areas of the building, we are looking into extending access throughout... More

The Royal George hotel is the perfect wedding venue. We looked at other hotels in the area; nothing comes close to this hotel. From the moment we arrived with our guest after our wedding service we were met by the friendly staff and hotel owner Mr Anderson. The Wedding meal was fantastic and there wasn’t a detail missed. The hotel... More

Awful hotel, book this at your peril, digusting bedding stained and holed, the room and corridor stank, mouldy smell. There spiders webs on the ceiling and the whole room was unclean. Check in was like "Faulty Towers", we were not shown to our room, just pointed in the direction. The room looked out onto a jungle of weeds through the... More

Following your comments regarding your stay, I have looked into all the points you raise. Whilst I conceed there was a ripped net curtain (it appears someone had attempted to open it whilst it was caught in the closed window) and there was a broken leg on the the double bed, both of which have now been replaced, your claims... Came as a Group Trip with Cardiff Arms Choir. Had read previous reviews and was concerned in a few areas, but what ever happened in the past, is no longer. Breakfast whatever you want, if you want extra anything you only have to ask. Local staff who bent over backwards to please and provide good service, not just to our... More

Its an OK old hotel, old fashioned, it could do with a modernisation whilst keeping the traditional elements. Lovely setting in restaurant / breakfast. Parking is an issue but the hotel was built when Henry Ford was a boy! But it is a pain. Room had seen better days, tiles in bathroom looked like they were about to fall off.... More
