We stayed one night in a twin room at this hotel. Some areas of the hotel are quite dated, and our room was tired and in need of a lick of paint. The bedroom window didn't close properly so we could here a fan all through the night and it was also rather chilly! The hotels location was brilliant, just... more

Me and my boyfriend got a cheap dinner, b&b rate and decided to head away for 2 nights to spend some time together before university started back up. Staff were fairly friendly but nothing to shout out about. Really feel as if the hotel could do with an updating, the restaurant is lovely, clean and modern but I don't feel... more

I booked the Lovat because of it's close proximity to my son and also to the centre of Perth. The booking process was excellent and the receptionist with whom I booked was extremely helpful. We arrived at 10.30am and were told they would have our familty room ready by 12 noon which they did. I had booked the family room... more

I was staying here while on a training course elsewhere. Friendly reception staff, though they struggled with the group I came with who had all booked rooms different ways, had all had been given different DB&B and B&B rates, and wanted to know why. A huge banner outside advertised rooms at about half the rate we were charged. I was... more

I have recently been to the Lovat hotel - just last week in fact. Once I got there I liked it, even though it was a bit basic. However, that was just the reception. There were some very nice staff and were more than happy to accept another last-minute traveller. By the time we got checked in, it was around... more

Stayed at the Lovat for 1 week for staff training and would highly recommend it. Staff were professional but not cold, curtious, friendly and would bend over backward. Food was first class and served with a smile. The room was large, modern and bright with an average view. Hotel is ideally located - walking distance to shops etc. more

We booked in advance but the room allocated was far from pleasant, very small and dark with a view of a brick wall overlooking the kitchen. However, when we complained the staff were second to none. We were offered a lovely alternate room that night but there was no double available for the second night. We were offered accommodation in... more

Nice hotel, room small but adequate but had noisy floorboards, noisy bed and a toilet that only worked when it wanted to. Nice staff on reception and in the bar. Ate in the bar/restaurant all very nice served quickly and food beautiful. Breakfast ok next day not the best we have had but served with a smile. more

Half the breakfast ingredients were missing (grapefruit segments, melon slices, milk and pastries). How strange! An old bathroom with no redeeming features, plus a tv remote control which wouldn't work (no batteries in reception), left me feeling somewhat deprived.Plus the single bed duvet was tiny, hardly covering the top of the bed. Not an impressive visit ! more

I was really impressed by this hotel and the service I received. It well surpassed number of higher classed hotels I stayedin previously, certainly with respect to service. I have special dietary requirements that more often than not most hotels do not want to deal with. At Lovet, the staff bent over backwards to accommodate my needs. It made all... more
