The Ballabeg was the first place we stayed on our first trip to Scotland. We picked it prior to arrival since it was close to the Edinburg airport. We were not disappointed. It was easy to find; the rooms nice and quiet; within walking distance to the downtown Perth area; and close to some nice running areas. The breakfast was... More

Although Ballabeg is on a side street, the twin bedroom at the front of the house suffers from traffic noise from the nearby A94. If you cancel after the first night (as we did) you will be charged for the full balance of your booking. When asked about a refund if he was able to relet the room the owner... More

As owners of the Guest House we feel we tried all possible alternatives to satisfy the reviewer's needs. We are located on a quiet street off a busy road, and there is some element of traffic noise at the front of the property, due to the fact we are so close to the City Centre. The reviewer was offered an... More

While the room was clean and of basic comfort, the manager, Deb, apparently new to Perth, lacked knowledge of the area and was unable to answer several questions about local attractions. I am elderly and after arriving three hours ahead of schedule, having come by train from Edinburgh, I was not allowed to occupy my room, even though Deb acknowledged... More

As owners of the Guest House we feel we offered a friendly, comfortable stay and feel disappointed the reviewer could not look more favourable upon us in the review. Unfortunately, the room was not ready for occupancy when the reviewer arrived at an earlier time than stated, but it clearly states on the Tourism website and the Guest House website... More

A lot of Perth's b & b's line very busy roads but we chose this one because it was on a side street and we thought the noise may be less. We had the room at the back of the house and never heard a thing except birds! Three cars can be parked off road which we liked and you... More

I called the Ballabeg guest house late in June, and admit it was short notice. It also turned out, that it was the game fare weekend.........The weekend I wanted. Sean & Debs came to my rescue, and once again, lovely room, great breakfast, plus excellent service. Look forward to staying again in the near future......... More

My husband and I decided at the last minute to travel to Perth for the Easter break. We had stayed at Ballabeg before and decided to see if it was available. Thankfully it was and we booked our stay. Our welcome was very friendly and Debs and Sean were great hosts. Our breakfasts were really good and the porridge is... More

Had a perfectly friendly welcome and a more than decent breakfast here thanks to its newish hosts, Deb and Sean. The room was certainly pleasant and spacious. The healthy stroll across the pretty Tay into the centre of Perth was no problem for us after 6 hours on a train to get to Perth, but might not suit all who... More

This was booked via the tourist information board so we went their "blind" without reading any reviews. What a find though, this is a lovely B&B, with a homely feel about it. The rooms were spacious and immaculate. This is the best nights sleep we had on our tour of Scotland. Breakfast was lovely especially the porridge. The owner was... More

Having stayed at Ballabeg in 2007 while visiting the Scottish game fair, and finding it very conveinient and acceptable we decided to book in for one night this year. However upon booking i discovered the guest house had changed hands in December but went ahead with the booking. After a long hot day at the game fair we were welcomed by Debs... More
