The shower was dirty and the curtains grubby and hanging off the track. However, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. More

I believe that Mr. Gordon Mcintyre is truly the quintessential "Renaissance man"- the evening was a true pleasure of conversing and dining in an old world fashion devoid of modern interruptions. We had driven from the Isle of Skye, passing through Inverness, visiting Cullodeen and then to the quaint city of Nairn. . . have we stayed in more luxurious?... More

We just returned (10/8/03) from a week long drive thru Scotland, our first. Glasgow, E'burgh, Great Glen, Highlands, Skye, etc. Great trip, and Clifton House was the highlite, with J. Gordon McIntyre the halogen bulb. He is changing the operation from what it was. No more public restaurant, and fewer rooms in the near future. What he did was provide... More
