The lodges are in a great setting, and a good spot for most outdoor activities, as Glencoe, Ben Nevis and Aonoch Mor are all just a short drive away, and there is a very good activity centre literally round the corner. Lounge area is very well equipped for relaxing - enormous sofas, a TV with Surround sound (nice) wifi and... More

Very comfortable accommodation, plenty of room for 5 adults to spread out, good size bedrooms with comfy beds and a very well equipped kitchen. Info folder extremely useful and would recommend the trip to the beach at Kendra. Lovely walks just behind the lodges. Good location between Fort William (unfortunately still a let down being a desolate and downtrodden town... More

The lodges are in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Inside, the lodge was very clean, very comfortable, warm and well equipped. But, not so perfect we were afraid to touch anything, relax and enjoy ourselves! Everything was as described on the website with the bonus of thoughtfully provided folders on where to eat and what to do. There was also a... More

We recently spent three nights here and were completely satisfied with the accommodation and all the utensils provided. However, these are sometimes referred to as 'luxury' lodges and we do not think that they qualify for this description. They are perfectly adequate but nothing really special. They are situated some miles outside Fort William being nearer Onich but this is... More

We had a wonderful stay here in Early May. A beautiful setting in a stunning part of the world. The owner is excellent and everything we could have possibly required in the lodge was supplied in advance. He was very accommodating when he had a last minute adjustment to our plans. The lodge was spotless. The guide folder very useful. A... More

Stayed here as a party of 4 adults and 2 kids, as part of a groupon deal. Paid extra for kids and weekend, but you expect to with these deals. We were allocated lodge 1. The booking process was easy, and even although we cancelled our first booking, the owners were helpfully and accommodating. The lodge was spacious for us... More

My husband, myself and our dog stayed at birchbrae lodges for two nights last weekend. Our every need had been considered and everything we may have needed was at our finger tips. They have pit together a really handy folder full of ideas for days trips/walks/beaches etc. (we took the personal recommendation in the folder and found a beautiful beach... More

Just returned from a fantastic weekend at Birchbrae. The lodge was first class. The owner John has clearly thought of everything… they were extremely clean and comfortable, there was a very useful guide book (what to do if…, food recommendations & sample menus as well as places to visit) and we also made good use of the DVD and games... We travelled up on 11th Feb, for a 2 night stay, with our two kids, and our dog. We had stayed here before so knew what to expect, but never the less we were blown away again by the Lodges, so clean, tidy and well maintained, everything we needed was already there, bar our food and drink. This is obviously... More

stayed at cabin 4 recently. v well equipped, comfortable and warm. John - owner is very nice and helpful. Lots to see nearby. Ardgour inn doesn't open till 4.00pm winter so can't comment. Went for luch and missed out - still got a free min-cruise. Four seasons bistro nearby but limited menu. Fort william seems to be suffering but the... More
