I would stay at this B&B in a heart beat again! The staff went above and beyond, I asked a simple question about what to do in the area. The next thing I knew is that the receptionist had printed all the information I needed to get there! It was a great help. I was a single traveller and the... More

I have stayed at Distillery House many times over the years, often with small groups, and I have never received a negative comment or complaint from any of my colleagues. I personally have never found anything to complain about. Yes, some rooms here are small, but by traddition B&B rooms in Britain tend to be small, especially the shower cubicals... More

We stayed here for two nights in July 2011. Quite close to the main road - but is still quite picturesque - close to the river. There is a nice outside area with a wooden deck and a play area for kids - which was a nice touch. Breakfast is served buffet-style - bit of everything included. The rooms are... More

This accommodation was very disappointing. Externally it looks like a distillery but that's the only connection............. not even a photo to be seen. We found the rooms extremely small. Almost as if they had gutted the building and fitted as many matchbox rooms into it as possible. We even had to decanter our clothes from our suitcase into an overnight... More

The room was well furnished and quite comfortable. The breakfast was great. Just a short walk into town. Don't be fooled by the name, there is no connection to a distillery, but you do a get a complimentary dram of whiskey. More

It seems to me that any hostellry in Fort William is rather expensive, e.g. premier inn here costs more than at Gatwick Airport and other London Branches. I was swayed by the 4 stars the AA and RAC have awarded this place, and the good reviews here. BUT - we are now bewildered by the official ratings for this place,... More

I stayed in this very pleasant guest house in March 2011 with a view to ascending Aonoch Mor by cable car. This is only a 5 minute drive from the guest house, so if you like to ride your mountain bike downhill at speed, this is your spot! Also no more than a 6 or 7 minute walk to the... More

We stayed in the Distillery Guest House the night before we began our West Highland Way hike (north to south) and were delighted. The room was comfortable, the views pretty, and the people incredibly friendly. Linda was especially nice, while Phil's handiwork from the kitchen was plentiful and tasty. The complimentary whiskey was a very nice touch, and the platter... More

We stayed for three nights, as two couples (two 50 somethings and two twenty somethings) and we could not fault Distillery House. We stayed in one other B&B in Southern Scotland on our way up and one in Norhern England on the way back. This was the most expensive, but worth every penny and the only one that we would... More
