Room was pokey with no chairs so we had to sit on the bedside units! Breakfast was lukewarm but we'd done enough complaining at Portsonachan bout temp. of food so we ate it quickly before it got quite cold. Not worth the money we paid. More

Small room for two people and a dog. Pillows very uncomfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. No porridge for breakfast and this in Scotland ! Only tinned fruit. More

Stayed one night in mid august. When we arrived we were advised the boiler had partly broken down and only half the hotel had hot water. Our small room was at the end of a corridor where the smell of damp, from workmen staying there who had put their coats on the two hall radiators to dry out, was overpowering.... More

Stayed overnight at the end of this month. The receptionest was very helpfull and polite. told us where the night life was, Disco's etc. but at the age of 50+ i declined. Room was clean, towels nice and fresh. Although the floor board between bathroom and room were soft, the carpet was the only thing that stopped your foot going... More

I stayed here for a night passing through, it was an average hotel. The young girl on reception was very helpful. As was the young man. people are obviously looking for faults when they write on this and i feel sorry for the staff they do try there best. this house / hotel is the worst place i have ever stayed in . dirt every place you look , staff useless , no hot water , paint job was done by a blind man , its web site are all lies . please please do not stay here its a health hazard . tourist board should close it down. More
