Owners are delightful and keep their lovely home in first class condition. The ensuite was tiny but one becomes accustomed to that in the old B&B homes. Lawriestone is a beautiful stone house and our front room well appointed. Overlooking Lochaber and Yacht club offer a grand view. Breakfast is formal and strictly set time. Spotlessly clean, formal and above... More

The website for the guesthouse was wonderful. We booked and when we arrived, we were taken to a room in the attic!!! Oh my word, carrying the suitcases up 2 flights of stairs was not my idea of fun. The room was small, felt crowded and only had a skylight for a window. Not what I expected from the website.... More

Sad to say this was not our best B&B we stayed in, even though it was the most expensive out of six. The owner was rather stuck-up and set in his ways. Upon showing us the room, we placed a bag on the bed (after walking up Ben Nevis), which he clearly didn't approve of as he instantly placed it... More

We had a lovely view from our room and we made the most of it as it was so cold and windy when we were in Fort William. the bathroom was very pokey but everything else was good. The hostess was friendly and interested in us and our travels at breakfast which was a nice touch. A bit out of... More

Situated approx 5 minutes walk from the centre of Fort William this Guest House is a real gem. A beautiful Victorian building overlooking a loch on the approach to Fort William. We were met by the owner, Jim who promptly showed us to our rooms and made sure we were happy with everything. The rooms were spacious and spotless, decorated... More

We stayed for three nights at the guest house and each night the home owners helped us organise our evening meal and offered us suggestions of where to go- which were all as they described and very good. Knowledge and explanations of the local sights and what to do was great and helped make our stay really enjoyable. We'd love... More

Somewhat dated with a Basil Fawlty attitude to service was how one of us described our stay. Breakfast at 7.30... Hmmmmm to much bother it seemed, all at a top price B&B! Saved by the view.... but not the one of the landlady sunbathing in her garage! More

A comfortable and very clean guest house with high quality furniture and fittings. Service was generally satisfactory but a single sitting for breakfast at 8.30am (which had to be ordered the night before) may put off those looking for a more easy going stay. The Lawriestone provided a good base for our stay in Fort William but a 5% credit... More

I have just returned from a 2 night break at this great b&b and like the majority of other reviews I would recommend this establishment. We liked it's location to the town where it's far enough away from the buzz but an easy walk into the town. We received a lovely warm welcome from both Susan and Jim, and we... More
