We were welcomed at the front door late at night....and we did feel welcome. Like arriving at your friends house. The decor is Victorian with lovely furniture. Had a good nights sleep in a comfy bed, followed by a decent breakfast. Will arrive earlier next time and try to see the badgers. More

Stayed two seperate nights with a friend. Mike was friendly, helpful and very accomodating, especially since he kept the little bar open way past the normal closing time one evening! He is also very knowledgable on various topics, and we had a great time talking with him. The house itself is very dramatic and lovely, with large grounds and plenty... More

I have stayed with Mike and Christine on several occasions and each time they are amazing, from Mike's company in the evening to Christine's delightful cuisine - the venison burgers are delicious. Mike is highly attentive and is always around to help as and when required This is a small hotel close to Inverness but has the charm of being... More

A lovely old house sat in three acres of wooded garden. Quality of our room was very good (superior double) and suites are available (not seen unfortunately). Excellent breakfast with wide range of options from healthy to "full fat"! Light evening meals available. Very pleasant, knowledgeable host. Excellent base for exploring Loch Ness and many historical sites, (houses, battlefields etc!). More

More than just an hotel. A very nice place to stay in. We had a room with a view on the garden, it was so quiet I wish I could have stayed here a month. If you choose this hotel, you must try the bar and eat in here. The food is so good and the owner must be the... More

What a fantastic traditional hotel, we were greeted on arrival by the proprietor, whom after a short check in offered to take our bags to our room. the room we had was lovely it was a small suite which gave us ample room. The room looked out on the grounds and we could see the small stream that ran alongside... More

My partner and I stayed in this Hotel over the valentines weekend 2010 and we can both say we could not find any faults with our stay there. The rooms were nice, clean and were kept warm at all times. The ensuite bathroom was clean with all the toiletries topped up. Michael, the owner, was extremely attentive throughout our stay... More

Stayed here for two nights in August, very clean, very friendly host, breakfast was very good. We stayed in what was described as a double suite... it wasn't and at £139 per night was really really overpriced More
