What a lovely friendly hotel. The staff were very attentive, the room was beautiful - the best night's sleep I've had in years. The Rowan Tree is situated just five minutes south of the "buzz" of Aviemore, in a very verdant location. Good beer in the bar, good food and excellent staff. This hotel is ideally located where you can enjoy the outdoor facilities of the Cairngorms, but retreat at the end of the day and chill. more

Excellent and friendly service at all times for our 3 night stay. Comfortable room with wonderful view although the bathroom was a little small. Good amenities in bedroom ( especially ground coffee & cafetiere) and public rooms. Friendly atmosphere in bar & restaurant with good choice of quality food & wines (and whiskies).
