Set in the cosmopolitan west end of Glasgow, a few minutes walk from Byres Road where there are some of the best restaurants, bars, coffee shops and boutique shops. All the rooms at the Belhaven Hotel are spacious and tastefully appointed. Room facilities include a hairdryer, while most also have Freeview TV and all come with wireless internet access.Situated overlooking Great Western Road and the Botanic Gardens, the hotel is only 10 minutes' drive from the city centre and 25 minutes' drive from Loch Lomond.
We had a fabulous 3 night stay. Huge, well equipped en-suite room and delicious breakfast. Super friendly staff who give great service and nothing was too much trouble. Kettle and coffee etc provided and hair dryer. Perfect for exploring the city and the beautiful Botanic Gardens is just opposite. Can’t wait to return!

Beautiful wee hotel in leafy area. Doesn’t do evening meals but lots of restaurants nearby. I had a gorgeous room, spotless and full amenities. Breakfast included and it was excellent - continental and also fully cooked options, all fresh & included in overnight cost. Highly recommend.

It was ok. Nothing special and wouldn’t stay again. Some of the staff were a bit chatty but majority (that you even saw) didn’t want to have eye contact incase you wanted or needed anything. The hotel was very tired and needs redecorating and had a musty smell. It served a purpose but there’s better around for the money.

I cannot get over how fab this hotel was for the money. We got two rooms that slept four each and they were so spacious. The beds were comfortable. I had food at the hotel too and it was amazing. The two females that were working during our time there were so polite and kind.

Good location. Room was quiet. Room was clean. Party of 8 in 4 rooms. Was told we’d all be on one floor as we were all getting ready for a wedding but we weren’t. Hotel feels tired. And the rooms aren’t warm. The bathrooms are poor. Dreadful pillows. Couldn’t close window. Bronze mirror tile in bathroom so couldn’t see a thing and door had self closer so I struggled to open it. Had to crawl under furniture to plug in hairdryer so I could see in a mirror. Daughter’s room (6) reeked. Obviously has plumbing issues. Was told not to use the bathroom. Not got when getting ready for a wedding. Thank goodness they could use one of our rooms. Breakfast was edible but very, very slow. Asked for a table for 8 for breakfast (Mother’s Day and a birthday) but they didn’t do that either. No GF options on show. Was given toast, bacon & snotty eggs. Coffee was awful. I want to say cheap and cheerful but it wasn’t cheap and we weren’t cheerful.…

Personally, I have been slightly disappointed with this. I was not expecting much as I decided to go cheap as I was only over for a couple of days; the building is beautiful from the outside but my room (which was below the ground floor) looked very old fashioned. The furniture in either the bedroom and the bathroom was quite old and outdated-looking, I did have a kettle in the room but I had to leave the room to go and fill it up as the bathroom was private but detached. Also, the location is slightly out of Glasgow city centre so if you don't have a car, take into account that it might take 30/40 mins ish from there to the centre.

Classy hotel in wonderful area!!! We stayed for three nights with our daughter and young family and I can honestly say that it was the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in, in the U.K.! It is so welcoming and the staff are first class. Agnieszka,(the owner) was always on hand and gave us excellent tourist advice. The rooms are spotless, spacious and very quiet, the bed was so comfortable and lovely to relax in after a tiring day sightseeing!.The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and I wouldn't hesitate recommending this wonderful hotel!
