We have traveled the world and never found the link to or affection for Elaine Cameron and her husband at Balrymonth B&B. You feel like family - all Elaine's recommendations are 100% spot on, from attractions to restaurants - the breakfasts are to die for - and the little touches are amazing. Did I mention golf and how Elaine gets... More

Elaine gave us lots of information up front about the town and really helped establish our plan for our two days there. She knows the golf story and quickly and easily found out all the information we needed to mae it run smoothly. It is a 15 minute walk straight downtown on one road or a $10 cab ride. The... More

Lovely B&B on outskirts of town. Very friendly owner, room had everything except a lot of headroom (I am 6ft 2 tall). Lovely breakfast. Town has plenty to offer besides golf. More

This was my first ever b+b experience and I have yet to find one that has such a comfy bed and does a breakfast as good as the one I had here. The room was quite small but very comfortable. Excellent value for money. Had a great stay here and would thoroughly recommend. More

I have been coming to Balrymouth since 2006 - mostly for golf. I have stayed in all the rooms which are immaculate in terms of cleanliness; the rooms are modest in size but are comfortable and well designed. Balrymouth is on the edge of town so it is quiet and has the advantage of parking, which is often a problem... More

We stayed with Elaine when on holiday from Sweden, but yet planning for an upcoming long-term stay in St Andrews with our children. Besides the excellent B&B service itself, Elaine was very helpful with tips and hints regarding schooling and other practical issues relevant to us. Simply perfect - even when she was fully booked in September she assisted us... More

We have just returned from a wonderful weekend in St Andrews and staying at Elaine's gorgeous B&B. I had stayed there earlier with my friend but this time, hubbie was getting a treat! My hubbie had never been in St Andrews before and loved the experience, made even more special with our stay at Balrymonth. The rooms are very well... More

Elaine made us very welcome without being overpowering. She advised us on where to eat and visit during our stay which was most welcome. the room was immaculate and spacious. The kingsize bed was fantastic and so comfortable, everything you needed was at hand. The scottish breakfast was very good indeed and filled you up for most of the day. I... More

Stayed unfortunately for only one night but Elaine was fantastic in helping us find our way in the har (fog) and was an excellent hostess with fabulous stories of being a local in St.Andrews. Very easy to get to town center. Elaine was even gracious enough to loan her copy of Chariots of Fire for the teens who'd never seen... More
