We stayed in the train carriage which was simply marvellous! A really different twist and the setting was fantastic! The proprietor was helpful and nice with the added benefit that was perfect for if you didn't want to go to the main house for meals. The teeniest, tiniest draw back was the need for a cab to take you to... More

The Old Station compliments the St Andrews area, an easy going and relaxing stop-off. When you have left you say to yourself " Blimey, that was very good ". Things dont get much better. More

Fantastic place for golfers to make base for St Andrews (short taxi ride) and surrounding courses. Fiona and Colin made our first stay in St Andrews very enjoyable and a place to definately return to. Excellent breakfast covering all items presented at anytime from 8am. Although no bar, taking drinks back is not a problem and if you can play... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in The Old Station. The rooms are beautifully decorated and quiet. I particularly loved curling up in front of the big fire in the common area. Fiona and Colin were very welcoming. Next time, I am hoping to stay in one of the converted railway carriage suites which look amazing. First Class. More

This B&B is in a wonderful setting and what very friendly hosts who made you feel welcome. We stayed in the African room, which was very comfortable. There is traffic noise as it is near the road but this did not bother us too much. We were there for the golf so would be up early in the mornings. We... More

Having never stayed at a B&B before, only ever hotels i was amazed! Approaching the house we were amazed by the setting which was only complimented by the most wonderful host anyone could have wished for, kind, friendly and accommodating every need. Even to the extent of recommending and booking tables, and ensuring we were subsequently looked after once out!... More

The train carriage is very close to the road so be prepared for continuous traffic noise. I found a used tissue in the closet, along with rubbish; bits of food stuck to sink. Owner was not prepared to serve breakfast before 9:30 on weekend, which meant one of us had to leave to work at 8:30, with no breakfast, except... More

our room was very unattended with thick layers of dust everywhere. The Breakfastroom was also covered with monthold cobwebs. The service nearly unfriendly. The Breakfast without any fresh bread or cookies., The jam served in already opened glases without any spoons, everybody had to use the same spoon to stir the coffee and to take out the jam. The price... More

Tranquil surroundings, enchanting attention to detail, sumptuous beds, excellent home cooked breakfast and a warm very friendly welcome await you here. We would highly recommend staying here for a first class experience of what this guest house has to offer. Would put many a five-star hotel to shame. The Old Station provides a welcome break from the rat-race. All local... More
