This was certainly the best place to stay in Dunfermline. Although I've rated this B&B's location as average given that it is on a busy intersection, the location of other hotels in this town is very much worse and much noisier. I wasn't bothered by the street noise in my front-facing room and the Pitreavie is one mile from the... More

i had the fortune of spending a night at the guest house. A warm welcome from Jim closely followed by coffee and biscuits brought to my room. Accommodation was excellent, clean and finished to a high standard. Cooked breakfast at 6.30am the following morning set me up for the day. I loved the Xmas feel about the place. It;s quite... More

Visiting for one night for a friends party. Got there early evening and we were warmly greeted by Liz and Jim. They made sure we were happy and settled but without any rush. This could have been it until the next morning but Liz made sure we got a lovely cup of tea and a Tunnocks Caramel (Its a Scottish... More

We spent 4 nights in this charming guest house for T-In-The-Park 2011, and it was p-e-r-f-e-c-t. The room, the breakfasts, the rides the lovely owners gave us when we were running late for places, everything down to the smallest detail - top notch. Would definitely book a room there next time T-in-the-Park hosts the Arctic Monkeys. More

Jim and Liz are the most wonderful family where we are coming every year, for the festival of Edinburgh but also for the pleasure to be there. We enjoyed mostly their warm and frienship reception and the succulent breakfast every day. And Dumferline , a little out of the city is a nice place to stayn and quiet... Come here... More

Ran by Jim and Liz O'Rourke; This is very much theirs and your home immediately :) I was late to arrive at the guest house and didn't get there until around midnight - however both Liz and Jim were both still waiting up with a big, warm welcome; even at that time of the night. The rooms were very homely,... More

Absolutely spotlessly clean accommodation and the firendliest welcome imagineable. Thanks for a lovely stay and I'll definitely be back any time I need to stay in the area. It was also handy that there were so many places to eat dinner within an easy stroll of the house. Good parking facilities too. More

We arrived late to be greeted by Jim and Liz who were very warm, welcoming and sincere!! After a chat and settling into our room, Liz appeared with a pot of tea, with cakes, biscuits, real milk despite having more than adequate facilities in our room. The room was very large, beautifully presented and my son loved the Ben 10... More

I cannot thank Liz & Jim enough. I was spoiled from the moment I arrived until I departed. The service was excellent while remaining friendly. My room was perfect. The breakfast was scrumptious. I'll definitely go back. More

Only stayed for one night on 4th November 2010 while on a bit of a flying visit to Dunfermline. Promised that we would write a review and naturally forgot once back 'down south'. Apologies to Liz and Jim. Anyway having now read the other reviews there is little more to say. We would just reiterate what the other reviewers have... More
