Two friends & I booked a twin & a single room last february for three nights in october while The Royal National Mod was in Falkirk. Twin Room 301.. filthy bath & wash basin, damp towels, no tea/coffee etc, no soap , no toilet roll, no heating on in mornings, a window that wouldn't shut, only one bed had a... more

Having read the poor reviews, I was a bit nervous about staying here on business. Talking to the staff and other locals, it appears that the new management are knocking it into shape, and that most of the previous problems have been resolved (or are being resolved). Great location, it just needs some more work to bring it right up... more

A good centrally based hotel in the town center ideally based for traveling around. The staff were very friendly and welcoming with good information on where to go and what to see locally. The food was excellent all homemade with fresh veg a bit of a rarity nowadays. One night we ate of the Tapas menu which took us back... more

We stayed at the Antonine Hotel in Falkirk because we wanted to stay close to both Glasgow and Edinburgh. We were in Scotland for 10 days, and they could accommodate us for the entire stay. The room was small, with two single beds stuck together, making the centre of the bed very hard. Not very romantic if you ask me!... more

The hotel was very modern. The twin room was spacious, and beds were big enough. The hotel was big, so we had to walk quite a bit to get to an elevator. Bad point was there was only one stuff at the breakfast, and it took a long time to get our breakfast. more

This hotel was my last night after a wonderful tour of Scotland. Our tour company chose it because of the proximity to Sterling, where we spent our last afternoon, and the Edinburgh airport, where we were departing the next morning. Big mistake! If I had to do it again, I would have insisted on returning to Edinburgh for our last... more

This place was the absolute pits! Our experience involved a bath tap which ran all night and no-one was willing or able to do anything about it! Next morning we discovered they knew of the problem before we checked in, but made no mention of it before we made 'the trek' other reviews mention. We did not even merit an... more

The Antonine is a basic hotel but rooms are clean with comfie beds and good sized tvs with the basic 5 channels - bathroom was on the small side but had been recently refitted. The hotel is a bit of maze so follow the signs to the rooms carefully. The hotel is well located close to town - its a... more

Having had problems with The Cladhan Hotel, who didnt want my 40 wedding guests, even though they had been booked there for over a year, but were happy to take a bus tour and move my guests....the Antonine Hotel bent over backwards to accommodate all these guests without hesitation. My guests said the rooms were great and breakfast next morning... more

Some bits great, some bits awful. Awful - The location. Not the proximity to town, that's great, but the fact there is a busy creche, sorry, bar, below the hotel, which provides some noise. Also. I had not long been recovering from knee surgery, and stairs were a problem, but you have to walk up a flight of stairs to... more
