Keith, the witty and sometimes humorous owner of the Lindsay Guest House, was helpful during my 3-night stay at the property with directions to places of interest in Edinburgh and such. He "may" seem intimidating upon first impression (well, at least to me initially), but once you get to talk with him you'll find him as quite a friendly and... More

We had a very nice stay at the Lindsay Guest House. Keith and Pamela were very helpful, we contacted them before our stay and they gave us very useful information, which saved us money and time. They were very quick in their response. The bus stop for downtown is just outside of their very nice home. More

Everything about the guest house was 5 star. The breakfasts were plentiful- so much that we didn't want lunch which saved us money. I even like the haggis but loved the potato waffles! The room was huge, clean, & well-supplied with tea, coffee, cookies (biscuits) & candy (sweets). Keith was very helpful when it came to figuring out the buses all... More

My new husband and I are Canadian and we stayed at the Lindsay Guest House at the end of August during the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh. The place was absolutely lovely! Our room was very spacious and beautifully decorated and the breakfasts were to die for - especially the haggis :) It was a quick 25 minute walk to the... More

Excellent B&B close to the city centre with only a 15min bus ride, friendly run, good breakfast and very large rooms, plus we enjoyed visiting the city centre to include Castle and royal mile. would look at no other B&B if and when we returned. More

My friend booked this guest house for us to stay at while we were in Edinburgh for a conference. The booking process went well. We arrived to find the room a tad tired and dated. Unfortunately the whole house smells of damp including the bedroom that we had. Of concern the bed room window was locked and we weren't give... More

It is very saddening to receive a review of this nature. If the whole house smells of damp we must have a serious problem. One which other guests fail to detect. I too would be concerned if the bedroom window did not open. The person who booked arrived before the reviewer and I explained to her where the hairdryer was,... More

Stayed here for the tattoo weekend. Lovely clean rooms, with very good breakfast, including haggis on the first day, but unfortunatey not available on the second day. the bedrooms are a tad old fashioned with large heavy throws that were discarded for the nights, quilts would much improve the sleeping conditions. the guest house is a steady half hour walk... Lovely helpful hosts, comfortable beds, very modern bathroom, excellent breakfast and a good location - Highly recommended. The walk into the City along the canal is a highlight and a real pleasure. If you are not into walking then there is a bus stop outside and the City buses are very effiocient. The room price was not cheap but given... More

Stayed there with my wife last December, for Hogmanay, and we will never forget Keith and Pamela. Beautiful house, amazing room, lovely neighbourhood (only ten minutes by bus from the city centre) and, of course, very friendly hosts. And Edinburgh is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. We'll be back soon. More

Stayed our first two nights in Edinburgh in this nice B&B. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We had the room on the canal side which was spacious and clean. It takes more than 20 minutes to walk to the beguinning of the town center via the canal pathway and than from there you have to walk another 15 min... More
