We agree with everyone, what a super B&B- all the benefits of a 5 star hotel, but in a private house in a quiet road, 10 mins bus to centre. Jim and Olive are very welcoming and friendly. The house is warm and beautifully decorated, we were in the 4 poster for a sightseeing weekend. The room is huge, comfy... More

stayed for 3 nights at Ard-na-said for a shopping trip in Edinburgh. Have stayed at a few places and this is definately the best. The room was lovely with a large ensuite bathroom. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice. The owners were very helpful with bus routes and maps and they let us use their computer to check... More

Ard-na-Said was a wonderful bed and breakfast. The owners were friendly. The room was romantic and extremely comfortable. The location was convenient with easy bus access to the city. Our whole experience was wonderful and we would definitely stay there again. More

My husband and I stayed at Ardnasaid four nights in November. Upon arrival we were quickly greeted and Jim kindly helped us carry our bags to the second floor and showed us all of the maps and helpful information for getting around in Edinburgh. Our room was very nicely decorated and had coffee, tea, cream, hot chocolate and cookies there... More

We stayed for two nights at the end of October and had a wonderful time. The Wallace Room was amazing, with a view of Arthur's Seat, and the bed was huge! The room was spotlessly clean and very warm, which was most welcome given the blustery weather! Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly and the breakfast was wonderful (don't... More

We stayed four nights and were delighted with our room. It was bright and very clean with a spotless bathroom and milk etc. provided each day to have tea or coffee . The meals provided were first class with Jim's porridge a highlight each morning. It was easy to get into town by the local bus which ran regularly. We... More

I stayed one night in September and it was my best stay in the town bar none. The room was restfully decorated and the comfort level was very high. The shower room was sparkling and the products were well chosen for a luxurious touch. Breakfast was superb and was served with a smile by Jim. I wish that we had... More

We stayed two nights here on Sept 26 and 27, 2011 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We were greeted warmly by Jim the owner and shown to the ground floor room, the Rankin. The room was large and bright with high ceilings and pleasant furnishings. We found the king bed to be firm and supportive. The bathroom was spacious and... More

First class in every way. Room and bath are hotel 4-5 star equivalent. Breakfast is hot and cooked to order and everything you might want. Hosts are terrific. Scottish hospitality at its best. Short bus ride to city center running every few minutes. More
