We had a spacious en-suite room with pre-raphaelite prints on the wall and a lovely comfortable brass bed. This is a B&B with character. Cathy is a great host, very helpful and friendly. She had no problem at all catering for vegans. To start with on offer there are a variety of cereals, fruit, soya and milk yoghurts. Then Cathy... More

We travelled to E'burgh as part of our Scotland trip over Easter and stayed here after cancelling twice before post booking due to various reasons - weather, work sched changes etc. Cathy was very understanding all the previous times and this time when we could finally make it we chose to stay here even though we are not vegetarians.... let... We were in Edinburgh last week end for rugby and to visit this beautiful town. Claymore guesthouse wasn't in the centre of the city, but bus n°11 is just in front of the house (Dryden stop). We were 4 people, 2 adults and 2 children. Beds were comfortable, and the vegetarian breakfast excellent and copious. It wasn't an en-suite room... More

I stayed at Claymore at the end of October, and it was a fabulous experience. Cathy is just simply wonderful - and made me feel very welcome and valued. Claymore is a short walk from all the city centre activities, and the guest house offers great accommodation with the most brilliant vegan breakfast. I went for the full cooked which... More

Spent a weekend celebrating our Silver wedding anniversary. Great communication with Cathy after finding The Claymore Guest House via google both with email and texting us before our journey. The bedroom was very comfortable with good en - suite facilities. The breakfast was a vegetarian dream offering fresh fruit, cereals and pastries and beautiful cooked breakfasts including halloumi, polenta, vine... More

We had a brilliant time here over 2 nights The guest house is located about a 20 minute walk from Edinburgh Castle, easily achievable and a walk we did several times, although there is a bus if you prefer We had no dramas parking on the straight and Cathy welcomed us into her home just like family. The room was... More

Thank you Cheryl for your kind words ;-) We are really glad you enjoyed your time with us. While we have been careful to use animal friendly toiletries for some time now, we recently decided to 'upgrade', its really nice to know they were appreciated ;-) Thank you for taking the time to review us.
