We really enjoyed out 3 night stay at the Kariba. Our room was lovely and clean. The staff were wonderful and helpful...Jackie was especially helpful with all my questions about Edinburgh! The breakfast set us up for the day too. The guesthouse is not right in the center of town, but it is only 15 minutes walk to the castle... More

I was really disappointed with my stay at Kariba. My partner and I were 'greeted' at the door by the landlady in a very bad mood who once found out who we were told us we were a day late for our booking. Once we provided her email confirmation stating we were there on the correct day we were led... More

a perfect welcome, and a warm goodbye! Even if we arrived on late friday afternoon, (thank you RyanAir), we were fiendly welcome. Lovely place, well situated... At first sight it could seem far from center town, but with the advice of the very nice landlady, only 10 minutes walking to go Haymarket station, 20 minutes to go to the castle...... More

We booked our accomodation at a very last minute, but it turned out to be a a perfect choice. We only had the chance to stay there for the long weekend, however we had a lovely time. We had a spacious room, with vibrant, modern decor and access to the back garden. It was not not an en-suite bedroom, but... More

We stayed 3 nights in Edinburgh and stayed at the Kariba on a friend's recommendation. We stayed in a clean, nice room with modern decor, which was perfect for our short stay. Breakfast was yummy with plenty choices. Offers parking and very close to city center (bus stop is outside for lazy ones!) Staff were helpful and gave us plenty... More

We stayed at the Kariba for 6 nights during the Edinburgh festival. The guest house is in a great location close to town, the room was great- sunny, comfy bed and clean. The owners are very friendly and have a lovely parrot called charlie. The only downside is that there was too much food offered at breakfast- I ended up... More

We booked this B&B after checking out websites for several B&Bs in the area (we are from overseas and were visiting the area for the first time). It seemed clean and attractive from the photo gallery, so we booked, and arrived around 8ish and ran out for dinner. We were assigned room three, which was not only a hideous shade... More

The place is the worst B&B ever! The staff is highly unprofessional not mentioning the manager of the place who does not have any peoples skills what so ever! I asked upon my booking if late arrival of my plane (9:30 pm) is a problem. The person whom I was talking to informed me that the reception is only open... More

Bedroom was clean. Unfortunately, had to share a bathroom with one other room which I had been told at the time of booking but bathmat was not changed for the 6 days I was there. It appeared to be more a rooming house for workmen who were very noisy and started banging doors between 6.30 - 7.30am and again from... More
