We stayed here for the second time the week before Xmas and it was every bit as pleasant an experience as the first time we stayed 12 months earlier. I don't really have a bad thing to say about this place, it has it's policies and house rules just like any other establishment and you should be glad of them... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to review us. It is so refreshing to see that so many of our guests recognise and appreciate what we are trying to do, which is offer a relaxing , comfortable, quite and clean accommodation with a good breakfast. We have been trying hard to better ourselves and what we offer for... More

The delightful hospitality and thoroughly charming accommodations at this B&B exceeded all our expectations. Tony and Dawn Ann Costa are extremely warm and helpful to the guests and the breakfasts were so beyond the usual 'breakfast buffet'. The food was outstanding and our room was lovely and comfortable. When we travel, we prefer the B&B experience to a hotel. Our... More

We stayed at Amar Aqua this past weekend. The room was spotless and very comfy, breakfast was delicious and Tony and Dawn -Ann absolutely lovely. There is a good bus connection to town but since the weather was so good we walked to town. Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable - we will be back soon,... More

This B&B had one of the most extensive breakfast selections I have seen. We were there for 4 nights and tried all of them and each was uniformally good. Tony and Dawn Ann are very friendly and helpful hosts and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The location is convenient for restaurants as there are many of them only a... More

We stayed at AmarAqua in September 2011. I don’t know where to start to express our delight at staying at AmarAqua. Maybe the hosts, Dawn-Ann and Tony – they are truly amazing, passionate about their business, and the people who stay there. Very helpful, friendly, with a great sense of humor. The house is luxuriously decorated, every detail is thought... More

We started our tour of Scotland with 2 days in Edinburgh with the AmarAgua as our home base-- and a great choice it was. While not in the middle of Old Town, AmarAgua is located in the quiet area of Dalkeith and a very short bus ride from the Royal Mile. We took a cab from the Train station and... More

We just stayed 3 nights at AmarAgua and had the best experience. The couple that owns the B&B are very friendly and helpful. They connected us with an inexpensive way to rent a car for the day and for the out of town cab company to get us to the airport (only 19 pounds!). Great breakfasts in the morning! More

AmarAgua is a wonderful guest house, located in a quiet residential area of Edinburgh. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very warm welcome from Dawn-Ann, who was enthusiastic and full of helpful advice. Our smartly-appointed room was clean and cozy with a very comfortable bed; a welcoming place to rest after a busy day of sight-seeing. Breakfast was absolutely... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Edinburgh with Tony and Dawn-Ann. Tony was wonderful company and a great host. We didn't see much of Dawn-Ann, as she was always working hard behind the scenes, but clearly they are a great team that make their Guest House work as well as it does. Dawn-Ann's breakfasts were amazing, and beautifully presented. Their home... More
