I got this room for a Saturday night in Edinburgh for only 15 pounds. Typical travelodge so luxurious? no, but clean, basic and does the job? yes. I chose this travelodge because of the parking and although we arrived too early to check in the guy behind the desk had no qualms about giving us the ticket to get the... More

Decided to book here as I was able to bag an incredible deal via the Travelodge website for £29.00 per room, per night! The hotel is a 15 - 20 minute walk from Prince's Street and it is a nice and pleasant walk so no need for taxis really as we walked back after a long and boozy night out... More

We have used budget hotels before but this went down to a new level. Our room resembled a police cell..there was a small bed, but no bedside tables, a small desk like table and a plastic chair and the provision for the storage of clothes was a rail on the wall. We did refer to it as 'cell block H'... More

This is a very basic hotel but it does have some redeeming features. It is very well situated, behind the hotel is a picturesque stream with a walkway. It is about an 8 minute walk to the centre past beautiful Edinburgh houses and churches. At the hotel there is a small adequate bar and free WiFi. Now the downside........ Upon... More

The hotel itself was very clean and in a nice location. You can park outside for £3.00 for 24 hours and it's only a 10 minute walk into town. If you don't fancy a walk there's a bus stop outside and you can get a dayrider ticket for only £3.20. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean... More

A golf trip staying here as a base, great location and 10 minutes walk to the city centre for restaurants ,bars etc. The location was really quiet next to a stream on a bankside, the rooms were comfortable and what you would expect from a budget hotel, the food ,namely breakfast was very good and cheaply priced. The staff were... More

Good sized room, very clean although a bit tired, staff were good. Our main criticism was that the room was a little cold, when we asked for a heater we were offered another room ........ This one was colder than the first so we stayed with the first one. We were given extra duvets and these were brought up to... More

Someone before said 'cheap and cheerful'....well, we found NOTHING cheerful about this place. It was the pits. We have used travelodges in the past, they are never cellubrious, but this one was dark, dinghy and dirty. The white plastic chair near the mirror was covered in black hair! The bathroom was a health hazard, brown stains on the lino...what was that?... More

As has been said before, this is a budget hotel. At the end of the day, you're going to sleep there and possibly have breakfast (which you should, it was excellent!) and that's all. If you're going to sit in your room all day and look at the wall, this isn't the place for you. It wasn't spotlessly clean, but... More
